Undine battlezone rewards halved?

annahannah Member Posts: 201 Arc User
I've played the undine battle zone a fair bit now, probably 10+ times since Issue 9 came.

I used to get 1680 dill and 72 marks when the voth wave was defeated.

Now the last two i've done, i've only gotten 720 dil and 35 marks.
Is there some hidden timer to lessen rewards after doing it more than x amount of times in a set time period.

Friend of mine is still getting 1680dil and 72 marks, and were in same battlezone as me.

Also, is there some trick to get the mission for the final voth battle.
Where it shows you the kill count. I've seen it sometimes, mostly not.
When i do get it, i've gotten some extra marks (18) and dil and an injection on completion. Seemed random and very bugged.

You do get more for your first fight with a given rep for a day but that's just marks, not dilithium.

I an not referring to the daily marks package.

I'm referring to the final rewards for completing the battlezone.

I helped in only 1 planetkiller this morning and got around 700. You need to participate in all 3 to get the full reward.

I have played the Undine Battlezone once a day since it came out. I have always got 55 Marks for the daily bonus, 10 marks for each capture point and planet killer I help destroy, and 60 Marks and 3 Isometric Injections for defeating the Voth since they fixed the Voth portion. So yesterday, I got just over 200 Undine Marks, about 2500 dilithium, and 3 II. Since they usually don't have a patch on Monday, then I doubt anything has changed.

    Not buying that.
I don't think i've every gotten hits in on all 3 on any battlezone. Almost always two.
Sides my friend was with me, and he got higher rewards and we both only got credit for 2 planetkillers.

There is a modifier for killing Voth at the end as well - this may have something to do with it.

Yeah, you have to participate in the destruction of all three or you won't get full rewards, I think its done this way so if AFKers want more they have to work for it ( im not implying the op is at all a AFKer ).

I think rewards are based on zone participation, determined by four tiers. The reward you get at the end after defeating the Voth depends on how much you've contributed to that zone (participation in points captured, planet killers killed, and Voth defeated). The same is applied to each capture point.

Say you jumped in right when a portal is about to be closed and managed to deal some damage or destroy an enemy ship. You'll more than likely get a small tier 1 or tier 2 reward. However, if you were there from start to finish, you'll get the maximum tier 4 reward. If you entered a zone and helped defeat the Voth, but not capture points or destroy planet killers, you'll get less of a reward at the end.

this isn't true either; one time, i zoned into a battlezone instance literally just as it was finishing up and preparing to reset and i got the 3 injections, 1.6K dil, and 70 some marks...without even having done anything yet

so something else is responsible for determining rewards

Interesting. I usually get less when that happens.

I wish Cryptic could shine some light on this... :P

I think this might be how it's supposed to work, but I don't think it's working properly.

There's been a few times I did hardly anything from entering an almost finished zone but got all the rewards. Other times I would help fight from the very beginning and get almost nothing. There's also been times where I would simply fly through an area and randomly get T4 reward boxes without firing a single shot.

I think something is still wonky with this BZ.
