Finishing the Galaxy Dreadnought

I know a few people were somewhat unhappy that this ship didn't get the Lt.Cmd Tactical slot they were hoping for, but I've seen a lot of these ships flying around as of late, thus they're obviously a big seller and have profited Cryptic.


That's all good. However, any chance you guys (devs) could finish the ship?

  • Reposition the Spinal Lance on the 'Galaxy Skin'

  • Add a 'Warp Trail' to the Third Nacelle

  • Enable the Monarch Skin


And whilst it isn't essential (I'd happily accept the ship if the above three issues were solved) but what are the chances of you guys implementing the Envoy and Celestial skins for the Dreadnought?

    You should add fixing the lances accuracy to it. As it is right now it has an actual arc of less than 5° and ultimately requires you to subspace jump before using it. And even then your shot misses if your enemy has any kind of speed buff whatsoever or even dares to turn slightly.

    Whilst I can appreciate the issue you mentioning might be annoying, my post was more for cosmetic issues than gameplay/balancing. :)

    I know ;) I'd just prefer having them finish building the actual house before starting to paint it ;)

    I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the lack of a lt commander tac... :(

    but yeah, they need more remodelling but it is getting there

    A good way to improve the Dreadnought without changing the boff seating is to reduce the lance cooldown to 2 minutes. Then at least it will feel more useful than a finishing move.

    Those are precisely the bigger problems of the ships, and they are spreaded all over the different fleet and c-store ships. I dont think the galaxy one should have more priority than all the others.. but well, you can try. Maybe cryptic listen and fix all of em lol. In a parallel univers, of course... lol

    Just out of curiosity, other than the registry of the Noble Saucer, what other ships have problems?

    Edit: I suppose you'd include the KDF ships here (in that the window type doesn't always match up properly)?

    The only thing I can add is, allow us to customize the third Nacelle.

    Technically you can, it's just a different piece than the other two and linked to the main hull. Which is annoying, but I find it hilarious to set them to look different.

    Really they should fix both lances as last I heard the garumba lance sucked pretty hard as well.

    I also never understood why it even needed a ltc tac. There are plenty of other cruisers that have that, if the dread had it too what would be the point of buying the others?

    I always thought the lance should not be some Boom special weapon, but an extra weapon like how the Dyson has one.

    So the Lance would be a narrow Arc, but almost act like a dual heave canon, except it's a beam.
