Lib Borg Can't Wear Voth Armor?

agonist2agonist2 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
I can't seem to find a way to make a costume with Voth armor on my liberated Borg. The dropdown list in the upper right never shows the Voth armor option.

Do you have to have all three pieces before you can get the costume? Do you have to run the rep project first? That project isn't showing up in the list either.

Any help is appreciated - thanks!

If you mean the Dyson armor, then yes, you need all three pieces of the set. You may or may not also need to run an associated reputation project to unlock it, i'm not sure. They changed how it was unlocked with Season 9.

I've just been onto my Liberated Borg Boff and she can access the Voth armor costume.

Yeah there is still a costume project to unlock the tailor costume for the Dyson gear. Yet there isn't one for the MACO or OMEGA set any more haha.

    OK thanks.

But I did have to run a rep project for my omega costume access - 5 marks.

5 marks? Poor you..... I had to pay a lot of dillithium and marks for the unlock.

Costume Style I is unlocked automatically for those when you complete the sets. Style II and above you have to do a costume unlock project for still. Style I is missing some pieces such as the helmet, gloves, chest gear, ehh.....pretty much Style I just gives you the jacket, pants, and boots for the most part.

Style II gives you all pieces. I think Style III is the one you get after you have the set and complete all or certain STFS with the bonus objective and gives you alternate pieces for your Adapted set. Style IV is the basic Adapted MACO/KHG set that contains all pieces.

Edit: Yeah. For MACO/Omega/Adapted MACO sets I had to fill the project with a lot more marks and dilithium pre-season 9. :(

Ahhh yeah, sorry I was getting confused. I've only unlocked them on one toon since the changes to the Rep system and I unlocked the maco style III, but also got the Dyson stuff on the same day so my brain clearly messed that up and forgot I had to do two project unlocks for it.

Still, 5 marks is nothing really compared to the amount we had to shovel in pre season 9.

Well for that, yes, but I was previously able to turn it on and off without any costume slot consumed at all, and I do miss that. I liked to "Enable Visuals" when I was going to a fight on the ground, and disable them in most other situations. Now I have to devote a costume slot and switch at a uniform vendor, which doesn't really make sense in fiction...

Yeah I guess it all comes down to personal preference. I never used the 'enable visuals' option, as soon as they added the ability to toggle them off I turned them off and left them off. Always preferred using a costume slot for them so I can use those visuals with other armour equipped haha.

Well, to be fair, Cryptic did give everyone extra costume slots (at least I have extra ones?) and you don't have to go to a Tailor to swap ... Just "RIGHT click" on your Avatar and select "Change Outfit" ... Provided you gave them unique names the last time you were at a Tailor, you can instantly swap between outfits, depending on your mood.

Now if Cryptic would just give us this same option for BoFF's, there would many a happy STO player out there.

I second that. I'd love at least two costume slots for bridge officers.

Ahh, I didn't know that. Well that is something. Still, I have Voth armor on but it doesn't show up until I get all the pieces...weird...
