I haven't seen any threads on this yet... granted, I've not read through every single thread and it might be mentioned in one I didn't read. I love the fact that they got rid of the armor visuals and moved them to the uniform changer. It's something that had been talked about years ago (along with getting rid of off-duty uniform slots and merging everything into the uniform section.. wish that would happen next). One thing that bothers me about this though is that I can't assign the parts to my BOffs, just my captains. Bug and fix is coming or working as intended?

    From what I can gather, boffs have access to some armour options, but not the full lot you can get on your captain.

    At least, that's the why it works for mine.

    Apparently, working as intended.

    Your Captain is a Vice Admiral, while your BOFFs are at most Commanders. The kit pieces in the tailor unlock by the same fashion rank pips do, tied to the rank of the character using them, so they don't have access to all pieces.

    I wish costume pieces for BOFFs would unlock based on the Player's rank, not their own rank.

    My biggest annoyance is that, for instance, my VA Tac toon has 753 Eng/Sci/Tac options for her left arm, but only 4 ENGINEER 2 SCIENTIST and 1 Tactical option for her right arm ... And no 2 are the same and most don't even have the same froicken colour palette, so you cant get them to even closely match, WTF is that?!?!?

    If you are going to have armor unlocks by rank, fair enough, but at least get the things right! And give me the same options for left and right arms/legs/hips/shoulders.

    I don't. I'd prefer if they'd ADDED them to the tailor, and kept the armor visuals. But this is Cryptic, and nothing is given any more without something else being taken away. :(

    Well the reason I said I loved this was because it's a step towards something that was being worked on years ago that I wanted to see implemented (the other part of it being the removal of off-duty uniform parts and merging all clothing options into one list). After seeing the way it's been implemented (currently) I don't really love it. It does seem pretty random who has access to what. My female Reman engineer has access to a couple of kit parts and no armor parts, my male Reman tac officer has access to no kit or armor parts, one of my main (federation) male Human tac has access to some of the armor parts but no kit parts. It's just so random that it doesn't seem to be working as intended. Wish a Dev would show up and give some clarification. Wish we still has the monthly Ask Cryptics so I could start asking them monthly until there's an answer.
