Post war reactions

Now that the Fed/Klingon war is over, what will be the response by other races like the Breen, Tholians, Hirogen, etc? Will they stay out, become servitors, or will they go out of character and join our new alliance after the Iconians have shown what they can do without even being armed?

I don't think there will be any responses. No other species (save the Undine and Iconian) involved themselves in the Red vs Blue War. Why should they start to involve themselves now that the war is over?

If anything, they'll just continue on as they are. The Federation and Klingon Defense Force currently stand as the two biggest empires the Alpha & Beta Quadrants posses. It would be moronic for anyone to try and get between them. Not unless they want to lose.

What I'd like to know is how other species, such as the Breen and Tholian are involved (if at all) with the Iconian threat. If the Iconians are coming (and they are) I hardly doubt they'll leave the Breen and Tholian out of their plans.

Since we're getting playable Cardassians Soon(tm), I'm going to wager that the next big post war reaction will involve Cardassia Prime and its relationship to the Federation and Bajor. I don't think the Cardassian and Bajoran in the latest FE were thrown in 'just because', it was intentional.

And I think the Cardassians desire to take a more pro-active approach against the Iconians, while mending fences with the Bajorans.

    Breen don't care.
    Tholians don't care.
    Hirogen don't care.
    Dominion don't care.
Cardassia takes a note, other then that, they don't care.
Ferengi would sooner keep the galaxy the way it is, where they can gain profits.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Source? You make a very bold claim there.

This is one of the few times I'm not going to cite my sources. Feel free to consider it conjecture and wishful thinking, though. I would too if I were in your shoes.

    But it is happening.

This, so much this. We know the Tholians are up to something, we know they're very interested in any technology related to the Iconians, we know they have the tech to cross into other parallel universes, we know they have a better command of temporal mechanics then the other Alpha and Beta quadrant powers, and we know they're involved in something over in the mirror universe. So the question that remains is, what the hell are they planning?

Personally I'm in the camp that believes the Tholians are preparing to beat the Iconians, but because they don't trust other life forms they aren't feeling very cooperative. I also wouldn't be surprised if we learn the Tholians were one of the surviving species that bombed Iconia 200,000 years ago.

As for the Breen, I predict they'll become Iconian Servitors in the near future.

The Tholians... historically don't care at all, so they will continue with whatever they were up to...
The Breen, after their Stunt with the Deferi we haven't seen much of them so they may or may not help or fight us in the future.
The Hirogen are still allied with the remnants of the Romulan Star Empire as are the Elachi and they will continue to try to eff up the Republic.

 I'll believe it when I see it.

I would welcome this plot twist.

After everything we go through, it's the Tholians that turn up to save the day, right when we're nearly doomed.

We don't actually know much about their history though...

The thing with the Hirogen, they've got a pact (of sorts) with Sela. They're not slaves (like the Elachi). The only reason the Hirogen would aid the Iconian is if the Iconian offered them advanced hunting grounds or something. That's all the Hirogen care about.

Now that the war is over, I'm wondering how it will affect any future "alliance" mechanic for mini-factions. I mean, there's no war, so switching allegiance or something should be possible from a lore standpoint.
