energy type variety

Antiproton- 3
Phaser - 3 including fleet
Disruptor - 6 including fleet and mission rewards
Poloron - 3 including mission rewards
Tetryon - 6 including mission rewards
Plasma - 3 including mission rewards

Just saying, the bulk of the variety is in just 2 weapons energy types.

Be nice if they were evened out a bit just for funs sake.



note: I didn't include spiral wave, andorian, retrofit, or chronoton because, lockbox ship required, just blue phasers, ditto, unique weapon.

What do you think they should add next?

    Again your not making sense. All standard weapon types, (BA, DBB, Turret, Cannons, DC, DHC), have access to all 6 energy types, there are exactly the same number of phaser type weapons as dirsuptor type and the same number as plasma, and the same as tetryon, and so on and so forth.

    So again, (unless your counting unique weapons like the quad cannons), there's the same of each type. Whats your point exactly?

    What the OP is referring to I think is "Hybrids" of Damage types, not weapon types. i.e. you have the base damage types, then you have Plasma Disruptor, Nanite Disruptor, Phased Polaron, Destabilizing Tetryon etc ...

    Some Hybrid types outnumber others ...

    One a slight tangent, your statement that all weapon types are available for all damage types is actually not correct, as several of these Hybrids don't come in certain configurations.

    Ahh i don't tent to even remember those things, since they're virtually all lock-box specific i forget they even exist since i've never had enough of them to build a build off of.

    Yes please.

    Simply because not everyone likes to run Tetryon or Disruptor. Variation is nice.

    Pretty sure that's all of them. Personally, I'd like to see some more Phaser variations. Graviton Phaser... Plasma-Phaser... Heck, even a Phaser variation that's like the Polarized Tetryon, with a 10% chance to proc rather than 2.5%.

    I mean, really, look at its counterpart, Disruptor, over there.

    And i agree a Plasma Phaser would be awsome. It' even cannon, (Best of Both Worlds pt1, mentioned as an in development anti-borg weapon).

    ahhh real internet.

    It would also be cool to get some more new procs as well and not just new proc combos.

    the new undine phasers/disruptors get a timed radiation burst proc btw.

    currently we have..

    shield drain procs in both instant and dot
    power drain
    hull damage dot
    hull damage resistance debuffs
    Piercing in various flavors
    Sub system drain/disable
    speed debuff - only on one weapon but it is there
    repel -new undine ap
    on crit damage bonuses.
    Radiation aoe - new undine rep


    How awesome would it be to get a destabilized tetryon plasma weapon?

    a dot polaron proc may be cool too

    What about a proc that lowers the defense (AKA dodge value) on the target? Doesn't necessarily have to slow the target like the Chroniton DBB, rather just be a counterpart to Disruptor's -10 damage resist. Technobabble-wise, might be able to be something like Graviton _______ [Phaser/Disruptor/Tetryon/etc] weapons.

    Numerically, perhaps 2.5% chance for a 10% Defense debuff on the target. Could prove useful in both PvE (with all the NPCs that use EPtE now) and definitely in PvP.

    Also because purple-hued antiproton-esque beams/Elachi crescent cannon shots would look awesome. And because gravity guns.
    a dot polaron proc may be cool too

    Something like a mini Tyken's Rift or Power Siphon? I'd be down with that. Perhaps it could drain more power overall, but be able to be cleared by things like HE or ST.
