i just want a proper romula carrier for my romulan SO BAAAAD:rolleyes:
The way romulans are, they will never have a pure carrier. They shoudnt. Yeah, they have some fighters, but they dont use carrier type ships, they never had. And this is intended as well, to keep the "balance" in place.
if it is the romulan battlecloak that's the concern, i don't mind if it is removed, same way as the Vo'Quv, i just want to be able to use a carrier on my romulan that does not belong to the Tholians, Dominion, or the Iconians.
There will be a new Romulan ship coming out during this season (Smirk confirmed this during one of his live streams). Might as well be a carrier. But I think a pure science warbird would make much more sense for Romulans.
I wouldn't want them to have it untill Romulan Boffs are nerfed. Make it so the boffs traits do not stack.
Singularity powers need adjusting too, or the doffs/consoles that makes it uber.
Nerfs are small minded, easy way out fixes. Why not give feds a decent space trait instead of ruining the game for others? Kdf pirate is pretty good. Feds, there is not one BO worth more than 10 EC in space; they all stink. I can be small minded and petty too; maybe we need a thread on how fed hulls are OP and need to be cut in half?
And then there is the total logic fail. My rom has a recluse carrier with a full set of romulan SRO officers. It might be strong, but its already in-game (full carrier with SRO officers, that is).
Singularity nerf? Fine, so long as the penalties are removed: let us slot real warp cores at full power levels with full shields and hulls, and I will be fine with it. It would be a dumb change (removes flavor, makes all the same) but I could live with it.
A cloaking full carrier would be a bit much. My take on it would be no cloak or a weaker KDF cloak at the most. That much I can see as a limitation.

They just need to add all space traits to all factions or allow us to add space traits to BoFFs. The Leadership trait isn't a bad trait, it's just not as good as the Naussican Pirate, Trait or SRO Trait. But like you said if they killed the stacking and enabled all space traits to be used by all factions not including Diplomacy.
I know I would rather have my Away team as my Bridge Crew but they don't have space traits so it's no point.
The Ha'apax and Fleet Ha'apax should be the Romulan carrier. Same restrictions as the Odyssey where you can't launch pets and be separated at the same time.

I prefer the DD. Its already not a "cruiser" so making it a carrier is sensible. The haakona/haapax seems wrong as it is just 2 ships (neither really big enough to be a carrier) welded together and it does not "fit" the design. The dd already has a carrier's turn rate, the Haa's are too fast.
For either one, 8 weapons is wrong. Need a new version with at least a 4/3 if not lesser weapon setup.

All over the big body, actually. Launch either from the interior of the hole or the exterior, either one is probably possible. The bulk of the crew and such are in the nose and tail sections; the middle seems to be engineering but there should be room in there somewhere. If the windows indicate size at all, the thin hull around the hull is 3-4 fighters worth thick.

Increase the turn rate by 4 and add a plasma lance.
Put all 3 consoles in it.
