nimiosenimiose Member Posts: 4 Arc User
i was so happy when season 9 be released but when i log inside it was a disipointment. They have deleted traits and now you can only have four traits the reputaion system is no use anymore and no fun at all then they say also that in season 10 they will play with our skills next this gam start to be like just an ohter mmo boring no fun and a slow game i wonder if perfectworld have giveing up on the players or what is wrong

i hate how perfect world has destroyed STO and wonder when the old system is comeing back that was much more fun

Sorry to dissapoint you but PWE is not the one who is breaking the game. Cryptic is.

PWE is the cryptic's boss, but they only tell cryptic that they want to gain money. Its cryptic's mind to decide how they do things to get profit of their work. So, its cryptic's fault, it always'v been.
Some people need to stop being so naive.

If cryptic is not able to develop another method to gain profit (and make their bosses happy) than ruining the game and keep the players apart, thats their problem.

If this game was still in Atari's hands, it would probably be long dead, not just rumoured dead or dying.

And do you really think that the upper leadership cares about the specific implementations of the reputation system? That's entirely something that the designers care about. Unless Perfect World is micro-managed like crazy.

Yeah, that idea seems pretty far-fetched. Cryptic devs are the ones who make nuts-and-bolts decisions regarding the game, and they've presented their rationale for the changes.
You're right. The work here is very important.

I agree with Mustrumriddicully, Atari would have let STO die an ugly death.

The old system is never coming back. Atari was secretly switching the game to ftp even before they sold the company to perfect world. If it wasn't for perfect world buying Cryptic sto would be long dead now. The $50 mil perfect world paid for cryptic is what kept atari out of bankruptcy.

If you don't like sto don't play it, but don't pretend it was somehow wonderful before perfect world got here. I've been here since launch day and the whining was the same on day 1 as it is today.

I dunno...a death at least brings conclusion to the trauma. As it is...STO reminds me of the Sona...where they are stretching their faces, pumping out toxins, putting staples in their heads to keep the skin tight, and using genetic modification to look young.

With all these revamps and changes and revamps and changes and revamps...one can't help to think that death would be a better idea.

You can polish a TRIBBLE...but it is still a TRIBBLE.

Any time you like you can pretend atari kill it 3 years ago, and you can just leave. No one's forcing you to hang around this 'polished TRIBBLE.' You're doing that all on your own.

Calling someone a cry baby because they don't like something is lime me calling you a conforming patsy for liking something.

So stop being a conforming patsy and start being more critical of tbis polished TRIBBLE. We might actually see this game improve.

    On that note:

Also...I have pretty much walked from this game. I log in once or twice a week to slot fleet projects for my fleet. Beyond that...I am in greener pastures.

Does the greener pasture not have a forum? I'm sure they'd love your insights on it. :)

They do have a forum. However...they don't need my criticism because they do more things right as opposed to wrong.

STO...does more things wrong than right.

I only speak out when I need to be very critical of a product or service. Criticism leads to improvement. Pandering leads to stagnation...and this forum loves to pander to the "devs".

Yeah and you are the typical guy who buys everything from the cstore and keeps paying his monthly subs, right? because if even hes crying, he has all the right to do it. Your "comment" makes no sense at all lol.

He broke TOS twice in the same post! One for name calling and the other for trolling. And he deserves to be told about it.

Fact remains the same. If someone is a cry baby for disliking an aspect of the game and voicing their opinion on it...then the antithesis of that is a conforming patsy.

    Flip side of the coin.

In the end...nobody should be branded a cry baby for voicing disapproval. If rejecting that idea and drawing a simple observation violates the TOS...well...tough for me I guess.

The old... I don't like this change = You are killing the game and everyone is going to quit unless you give me what I want!!!

I have a question. You found the period on your keyboard one time, why did you give up on it?

He is not the only one who does not like the change. A lot of people think it is, at least, poorly designed in its current state.

lol thanks for the laugh while drinking my coffee, my favorite part of this thread is the

"you must have no idea who i am on these forums"

elitist snobs scanning forums to pour out more of their so called wisdom so they can brag how important they are in a discussion, and thinking people care in the first place... so sad

There is a lot about the game I can not like, one being so many non faction specific ships, but the changes to the reputation and traits I do welcome and yes I do have maxed out reputations. It gives the ability to customize more and slightly less power creep.

CRUISERS NEED A 206% HULL BUFF

well that is nice being able to switch and customize more, but in the end theres still a ton of time i have just invested maxing all the reputations for no reason at all

    wasted time

i have a tactical pilot i only grinded the rep for the passive/active powers and a couple peices of gear, from what i can see now most of what i grinded this winter was for nothing now (meaning most these passives wont be used now and thats bullshat

you want power creep addressed, but ***** and whine when power creep is addressed - and it's cryptics fault.....believe me, Atari did way more damage to STO, then anyone ever could hope to achieve again.

You may see it as wasted time but I do not. I needed them maxed out for the armor in each T5 reputation.

There's a big difference between constructive criticism with a desire to improve a game and calling the game a TRIBBLE.

The former is understandable, the latter trolling.

by increasing the gap between normal builds and op setups, like lets say a2b/marion builds,
    they decrease powercreep?
    that logic escapes me.

more need to run certain lockbox ship/doff setups is increasing powercreep, not decreasing it.

also more customization with less options? u wot m8?

Any time spent in a game doing things you don't enjoy is wasted time.

Play it to have fun. I think you'll find you...have more fun.

you lucked out then, but for those of us that have endless hours of grinding for a bunch of skills that are never going to be activated or slotted now because their build is more specialized are the one who are paying the heaviest price

work for this so when you get this i can take it away and give you part of this = wasted time
