considering this is the worst launch out of any of the previous seasons with the list of bugs equaling that of a novel, will anyone at cryptic man up and publicly take responsibility? maybe issue a statement asking for patience perhaps?
Yeah you have no idea what you're talking about. This is one of the very, very, very, very few updates that wasn't a complete and utter catastrophe. As mentioned before, Season 4 was a disaster of epic proportions.
Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and the players love it! No, seriously! ...Why are you laughing so hard?

Technically, this has been a pretty good rollout.
Few server issues, and no emergency patches yet.
One can quibble aboyut the actual content, but I honestly belive that Cryptic have upped their technical game from previous seasons.

What season releases aren't?
I mean, s8 was pretty bad, but at least most people could PLAY.
This release went over practically without a hitch.
I've actually seen horror stories of s4...and they make the LoR launch fiasco seem tame.

Look, I'm not agreeing with the OP, but don't you think it's funny that you guys stick up for an update that has a list of bugs by touting previous updates that had worse bugs? Let's not act like Cryptic has been, or will be the greatest batch of programmers ever.

This is the best season for bugs under control i have ever saw
Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng
JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse
OP, rinkster is one of the most avowed Cryptic-haters on these forums--at least, among the intelligent, sane ones (which is to say, he's consistent in his dislikes and he has on rare occasions supported things that Cryptic has done).
Current bugs seem mostly centered around graphics and the new trait system.... which is to be expected seeing as that was the two major changes coming with S9
now when the OP stating that this is the worst season ever? I have to agree with others S4 was a nightmare... and really I was not effected by most of the bugs that are in the bug list or at least they didn't bother me in my game play, so I had to go down to the bugs section and read the list for reference. Not to down play the issues going on with race locked traits and the new trait system, which I feel is the only one people should be upset about and should be the first one addressed.
Ok this may be the worst season for you but, season 4 was hands down a fu@#ing mess! Server was down more than up, content would constantly bork an a whole other list of bugs it was just a bad release, this is one of the smoothest so far so... yeah.

LOLOL...
chuckles.....well, i wouldn't say Cryptic-hater...far from it.
But if I dislike something I'll say so, and if i think something has been done well, I'll also say so.
The OP is just factually incorrect.
Leaving aside the content, which is pretty subjective, the actual technical aspect of this rollout has avoided some of the worst pitfalls of the past.
I do not think you understand that all games experience launches with bugs anytime there is a major update and the server is bombarded by thousands of bodies

You, sir, are a sane, intelligent, and rational human being.
Although our opinions may differ (I am a fanatical supporter of the story and art aspects of the new season, and a partial supporter of the gameplay changes (Undine failbox excepted)), I applaud you, sir!

I'll say rinkster is an informed (and amusing at times) critic. Other people on the forums that I would also give that label to would be dontdrunkimshoot, zeux, talonxv, and a few others (my apologies if you people don't want to be grouped with each other).
On that note, I'll have to chime in and say that this is probably the most seamless rollout of a season by far. If anything it shows that they are making progress and learning from their past season rollouts.

sorry for such a slow response I was reading the 8th page of bug reports from yesterday, but yeah i forgot about season 4 it was worse so we can agree on that but season 9 is still pretty sad in terms of content and bugs

.
Did the server crash? Did you spend hours in a queue waiting to play? No. So by comparison to previous Season launches (or indeed, Anniversary Mission releases) S9 was practically a cake walk.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
Looked pretty busy to me a few hours ago when I had a quick nosey around. I've yet to encounter any kind of bug either. Graphics changed a bit and they may need tweaking for my machine, but apart from that it's business as usual.

hours in the queue would signify a successful launch from cryptics point of view sir and there is no sign of that plenty of room for all
if they need to issue an apology for anything it is new reputation system, something like this should work:
sry guys we made all time u spend on reputations waste and from now on we will just add new reputations for nothing since u wont be able to use skills from them
OP What the Frak are you talking about? Man up for what? A smooth rollout with few bugs and good playtime and an epic FE?
WTF are you talking about?

Hmm, aside from the graphic issue that is preventing a small group (but not really that small) from logging on and another small group from even being able to play (although they were able to log on), it isn't really that bad... I've seen worse...

I thought WoW's forums had angry elitist snobs, but I never could have imagined the level STO forums has.

Few? Social zones are more croweded than they have been in months.
It sucks that you have issues, and I sympahize... But really, as others have said: You really have no clue what you are talking about.
This release is smooth and clean compared to most season releases, and you pretending otherwise won't change that.
