The New Customizable Kits

I'm not understanding them. When mentioned in-game, people are either too busy to explain, or don't seem to know the answer, so I figured I'd ask it here where people hopefully will know, and aren't too busy. :)

I know old Fleet Kits can be traded in at either the Embassy or the Spire (to my knowledge we cannot trade in Kits anywhere at the Starbase or Mine). I am confused though as to how many different kits there now are, and what powers can be used with them. The ones that you would trade in at the Spire/Embassy seem to be more or less a replica of the ones you're trading in.

Anyone care to give me a run down on these new kit options and features? Taa

When you trade in you get a kit that mimics the old one.

However, slot it on your toon and the different powers can now be slotted individually.

Also, the framework itself has a small bonus attached to it.

Before the change, I made sure that my toons had kits from both the spire and the embassy.

traded both sets in and then rearranged the resulting pool of powers to my liking.

There are 3 from each profession:

One specialized in "do things" (increase damage, heal yadaydayda), one in "make things" (break ground, toss grenades, make turrets) and one mixed.

Each have either full slots for one, or mixed.

Then, you need to get the modules that fit into your kit and make a build that suits you.

That was the "very basic" run down... Hope it helps.

Also: A little more detail here:

Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.
