Can't you devs do anything right? You badly programmed it to lag, and I have a really good system too. Do you need to call nvidia/ati on how to make use of a GPU, and not rely on the CPU for a lot of graphical equations?

Your time, money, resources would of been better spent on addressing numorous bugs that have been around probably since beta. 4 years of bugs.

But nooo, we get a ****ing new shiny shopping mall.

Probably, but maybe some devs will pick up a book on Programming, or take some courses.. Ah dreams.

i think we'll see plenty of threads about this, new ESD is laggy essentially due to poor optimization, and quite a few don't have top gaming PCs.

I thought WoW's forums had angry elitist snobs, but I never could have imagined the level STO forums has.

I don't. I have a 5+ year old laptop that I bought because it was on sale. :P I do need to turn down graphics, but I can get it to run ok.

Wow, way to trash Tacofang's work. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean the rest of us feel the same way as you. I love the new ESD, it's much better than the old one.

ESD works fine for me, that suggests the problem is not them, but on your end or somewhere in between.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

It looks nice, like a shopping mall in mass effect. Taco doesn't do the underlining programming, just the art and design. The tools used for it need reworking, and a lot of people are getting lag and low FPS on ESD. I run the rest of the game 80+ FPS, when I hit ESD, it fluctuates from 15-40 FPS.

The game engine relies too much on the CPU for a good chuck of the graphics.

I would of preferred them to concentrate of fixing bugs that have been around for a while, but the powers that be who control what the devs do, wanted something nice and shiny to distract and make them money.

First of all: Smoked Gouda is good.

Secondly: I haven't seen the new ESD yet.

I ran STO with no problems on a single core 1400mhz AMD 64 processor, a Radeon x2800 video card, and just 4GB of ram from launch up until last year.
