In the interest of trying to stave off a few "Omg halp" threads, here, this is where all the settings were moved to. They're on 3 separate tabs now instead of 1.

Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.

Thanks Bob!
=D I has a warm fuzzy now.
I hope this can help people out.
Personally, when the graphics changes hit tribble it really impacted my performance. It seems that changing my shadow settings from high to low fixed it without needing to turn anything else down from maximum.

I definitely recommend messing with your settings some.
You've done a good service.
Mine look terrible... But the floor on DS9 looks amazing! As does the sun at ESD! Everything looks like pretty TRIBBLE... Like, it's pretty... But the edges... Holy pixels batman!

Will do.
Once I can get back in.
Trying to switch to "Fullscreen" from "Windowed" crashed me...and now the bloody error reporter is telling me "Sending Full Dump - 52 minutes remaining."

You can change it back. You just need to mess with the settings a bit.
I need to try this when I get home. My performance took a nose dive after the graphics reset.
If you are using an Nvidia card, it could be due to TXAA. After the update I found that the game defaulted to using that instead of MSAA, which resulted in a subtle blurring effect that made textures appear hazy. Try changing your antialiasing.
But rather in the players who have been led to believe anything less than 60 fps is bad graphics performance.
I personally am more than happy with my 4+ year old Radeon 4870 only giving me ~40-45 fps at maximum settings in game. It still plays smooth with no skipping or hiccups. And everything looks great.
Well except once since season 9 began, I entered one of the "explore unknown system" areas in the Eridian belt and my ship looked like a blur. But was normal in sector space.
