just managed to beat all the rep systems on 4 of my toons and they also have fleet kits ready along with the gear I've grinded from the omega rep system too oh and completed the optionals on elite stf's as well as the costumes from the optionals on elite stf

so who else is ready for season 9?
Comments
Definately ready for S9.it seems ok,however the undine space battlezone is abit monotonous.
I won't do the reps with my other two toons any way, so I'm probably as prepared, as I can be and honestly: There isn't much to do in the game anyway. I play like the Borg STFs with my Romulan once per day and that is about it.
I am so glad i am not a new player
It will be really hard for a new player to reach our level now and i see it getting worse in the future for them
unless............there Rich and dont mind putting down the cash !!!!!
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng
JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

God, yes, THIS. There was one thing I hated about the Rep Gear and that was the ungodly amount you needed to pay for it, especially in EC and Expertise. About 180K EC and nearly 200K Expertise just to get a full set.
Silly question.
In short: Whatever...
All reps done.
So yeah, ready and bracing for impact.
The new "half" season will be again, boring and not focused on having fun, as cryptic always do. So, yes, im ready by far lol, since i dont think i will "touch" the new rep system at all. :P
Yes, ready to have them nerfed by 50%.
So, is that what we need to do? Buy some of the kits now?
We'll all take the nerf in stride, unless its heavily gamebreaking.
While I'm thinking about it; I honestly cannot decide whether to just wait a day and watch the season premiere of "Deadliest Catch" and have a chance for any bugs to get ironed-out or risk seeing a broken game upon logging-in.
Checklist of cool stuff:
-New ESD, best map in the game hands down.
-New Featured Episode, awesome!
-Kits put into the tailor, fantastic. Using kit pieces and the Odyssey uniform you can make an excellent approximation of a Hazard Suit from Elite Force.
-Rep Changes - fits my playstyle. I have no more than 2 reps done on any one character atm. And at the end of the day I am completely selfish and if it fist my playstyle, then i like it.
-New queued stuff to do when the mood strikes me.
-New faces/complexions, which are also in the Foundry btw.
Now you are just asking for something to go wrong.
BOY I hope no one trips on a cord or something...
Well HyperLimited just doomed us all.
My character Tsin'xing
ill play a bit on space Battlezone till I make rep... get bored of it... Warp away, have a chat with fleet and then all going have a session in PvP together. Or just participating in random 10vs10 match from OPvP channel. There's Ker'rat too! Always a good place to have a good fight when Borg don't get in the way :P
What keeps me engaged in the game is PvP community and friends as well, and I admit it the storyline.
But surely not a Lockbox.
Now for the not so good elements am quite dismayed to see yet another load of new episodes and pve content which is not dynamic and therefore doesn't affect the STO universe in anyway shape or form which I find to be most boring for it means that no matter how many times you do these things or fight Undine in random red alerts in sector space it won't change anything and thats sad.
Cryptic should look at CCP and how they execute really good immersive dynamic content since everything you do in Eve whether its in space or ground in Dust 514 has an effect on the universe as a whole so as a consequence things are always changing which I like since when I've played I never know whats going to happen and that is most compelling.
So for me it renders the content utterly meaningless since it won't matter, if Cryptic managed to achieve even half of what Eve has then it would be a start for if they were to change STO so it was dynamic it opens up loads of possibilities like making fleets in the game more relevant and would strengthen the camaraderie of those guilds.
Another great reason for this is for example say the Undine attack some random planet in the alpha quadrant and when you login you get a priority message from starfleet saying whats happened and you are tasked with the help of your fleet mates together with other fleets combine temporarily to take back this planet and sets off a chain reaction for whatever happens in that encounter decides the fate of that planet for that moment in time. That kind of scenario plays out in Eve on a virtually daily basis for all the factions are always jostling for control over certain areas or planets that have particularly valuable resources.
Don't get me wrong here am not saying I want STO to become a bad Eve clone or anything like that just they should take some inspiration from other games like Eve or Battle Star Galactica and see what features they could use and thus do them better or spice them up for the purposes of this game. STO would greatly benefit from having a dynamic changing universe and it really would give the sense that the universe we are playing in is alive and bustling instead of being stagnated and stuck in some sort of weird temporal loop where we keep reliving the same stuff over and over again with nothing really changing.
Lol EVE. I played EVE for a time. I gave up when I realised it was costing me £10 a month to watch my skills increase before I could fly a ship that was worth a damn, mine asteroids or get slaughtered any time I went anywhere that didn't have Concord because every single lo-sec gate is camped.
The only place i'd rate EVE over STO is Exploration. STO's Sectored map doesn't allow for it, but EVE's wormhole system is impressive.
That maybe the case however thats why guilds in Eve are way more relevant than in STO plus in Eve you can purchase ingame time with plex so if your having a bad time financially you have that option to obtain it that way.
The exploration is by far one of the most wonderful elements of the game and as for getting slaughtered anytime well ya know too bad but thats why joining a guild helps you a lot more because you can ask for help to protect you while your say mining or ferrying cargo. For me that alone is not a good enough reason for me not to play Eve.
As I said in my previous post another huge appeal to me and many others is the dynamic universe its so great to never know whats going to happen next all the time.
Cryptic I feel should aspire to make STO's universe be as fluidic if not even better in how it delivers the Star Trek universe in the game. There is only so much you can achieve with adding new fixed story content and ships etc before it gets a bit old and soon you want some meat and potatoes lol.
