Anyone remember when it was still possible to abandon ship at any time?
I still have videos. I'm not the kind of guy to troll like that usually. But it was so much fun, I couldn't stop it.
And it was the last day of beta anyway.
This isn't about a troll so much as it's taking the RP thing too far. Basically (and i'm not against role playing) in the Voth BZ, I went down and asked a fellow player to get me up. They were KDF and I was Fed. I get "We're enemies on the battlefield, the klingons do not help the federation weaklings!" forcing me to respawn.
Seriously, there's a place for RP and not. and a multifaction battlezone is not the place for it >.>;

Sorry, I shouldn't laugh, but I found it funny. And you're in luck that he couldn't finish you off so you could have an honorable death.
You couldn't even get out of Spacedock without dying at least once.
ahhhh the good ole days i miss em ..........hey what about when you could assault the Klingon homeword and the klingons could assault esd due to a bug ...errr glitch ? god that was funny to see them kill adm quinn.....welll sorta funny....my sig says why

I loved sitting on the ESD fountain with my Ferasan and watching people panic in chat.. I never shot anything because I didn't stoop that low, but man it was fun to watch people react..
Was called a troll once. I did not see it that way:( When Academy map was created we had a lot of RP fleets at first. One day I showed up and a fleet was lined up in file. I watched them do there thing. One guy was inspecting the rest. I ran over and in zone chat and recreated Full Metal Jacket. The thing is the first guy said nothing but the next 3 did it word for word with me! Well I guess the fleet leader did not find my humor;) He PM me and said so in so many words including troll!! His fleetmates loved it!! Guess he did not lol

I remember one dude that would sit in space dock invisible. Wouldn't do anything. Just would sit in random places of ESD.
Hmm. I ran across a troll in Coh, an ERPer who followed one of my characters around for nearly a year making obscene passes at her.
Now I have a thick skin so I pretty much ignored him until CoH gave players the ability to change genders and I had the idea to turn the tables on the troll.
The very next time he showed up and made a proposition I changed costumes and went from this to this and replied, "Ya'll got a real purty mouf Sugah. You iz unca Bubba's lil puppy now, an I iz gonna makes you squeal lak a pig."
The troll immediately logged off and I never heard from him again. :P

Of course trolls ruined that glitch..
People actually panicked? Hell, my first thought would've been "Is the war over? I don't remember any patch." :P
I might have even strolled over for a chat. I like novelty.

I agree 100%.
Some people seem to take it too far. I went out of my way to help others, regardless of faction.
And unlike some, I leave my issues with a faction's fanbase out of the Battlezone. Something I've seen some KDF players being unable to do. I'm sure it's the same with the some Romulan/Federation players, as well.

Nice story friend, but I gotta say...running around looking like that is bound to attract unwanted attention. Just saying.
As for troll stuff well, all the things I've seen have been terribly unimaginative. Spamming TRIBBLE on zone chat, purposefully ruining STF pug runs with injured ships...I suppose you could chuck the infamous disco ball and party popper in there as well.

You owe me a new keyboard.
As for me, I once had a troll stalk me around the forums insulting me in threads where everyone could see. It didn't end well for him.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone

The stupidest thing I've ever seen a troll do? Exist I think...
Wait, you used to be?!
And it was the last day of beta anyway.
"What?! It's an MMO! You gotta play with other people! Deal with it!"
Anybody who derives entertainment by annoying others has something seriously wrong with them.
I remember that. I also recall quite a bit of QQing when the devs took that "annoy toy" away from the trolls.
Oh boo hoo. How sad they cannot enjoy spamming the same attack over and over.
^ *nods in agreement*
"If this will be our end, then I will have them make SUCH an end as to be worthy of rememberance! Out of torpedos you say?! Find me the ferengi!".

You really can't trust goats.....
Sorry for the Transporter room:(

Imagine that with the new ESD. Especially in the little walkways to Admiral Quinn's office
This is comedy gold right here.

Especially during the anniversary events, those jerks!
That was wonderful. Were you there when Club 47 was completely filled?

You do know what MMORPG stands for.
