Omega Force (Ground) Set needs a parity update

This is one of the things that has been annoying me for quite some time.

Omega Reputation gives you three different sets, yet the Omega Force ground set is sorely neglected compared to the MACO and KHG sets.

The MACO and KHG sets will give you a choice of two different weapons, Sniper Rifle and Pulsewave.
Contrast that with the Omega set, where all you get is a full auto rifle. :(

Me personally, since I'm a sniper rifle user, I don't like the full auto weapons.
And I know other players prefer pulsewaves.
I've also heard it occassionally from other players that the Omega force Autocarbine is the worst set weapon in the game, because it's rapid rate of fire triggers borg adaption in less then a second.

And since I'm an exclusive Omega Force user, I'm disappointed that I'm not allowed to have a weapon type I'm comfortable with.

Therefore, I am proposing that two extra Omega Force weapons be created, to complete the 3 set bonus with the choice of choosing your preferred weapon.

Omega Force Battle Rifle.
The equivalant of the MACO Phaser Battle Rifle.

Omega Force Pulsewave Rifle
The equivalant of the MACO Phaser Pulsewave Rifle.

Both these weapons should use Antiproton, as this appears to be the standard damage for Omega Force.

I do not think it needs a update.

I just stuck my set on a boff to get a dmg boost from team bonus

I then got xi one for outfit and stuck this one on another boff

I got got xi one hg one and stuck that on boff

I put adapted set on boff for resistance team buff

I wear the normal hg one and thus get all 3 team bonus and 4 boffs like wipe borg like its nothing. On normal mobs they tear them up quicker. I noticed they had trouble with thier built in adapter to borg at times or was cd who knows so I gave them from replicator that does same thing.

I'm not sure if you are talking about KHG sets, but if you are, there's one really big problem.

KHG sets are only accessible to KDF characters.

My characters are predominantly Starfleet, so do not have access to that armor set.
And I have no interest in pulsewaves either, so the Adapted MACO set is not useful to me.

I'm only interested in Faction independent gear.
In this case, that is Omega Force.

"MACO" and "Adapted MACO" are different sets, same with Honor Guard. If you use the normal weapon and the adapted one at once, you won't get any set bonuses. Besides, the set bonuses between Normal and Adapted are not the same.

In other words, MACO and KHG sets do not give you a choice of two different weapons.

MACO and KHG got "Adapted" sets because they were restricted by faction before. The Omega set was already available to all factions and didn't need an "Adapted" version. It's fine.

From my point of view, they are same set, just with different bonuses.

To follow your logic, do we have an Adapted Omega Set?
No such set exists, so there is still a parity imbalance.

I was just thinking that providing the weapons alone would be easier, since it means you get access to remodulation without having to be locked into a specific MACO or KHG set type.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. They're entirely different sets that happen to have one thing in common, which is the instant remodulator.

I'm going to quote myself here:

The "Adapted" sets only exist so Feds and KDF could use the set bonuses and weapon types from the opposite faction. This isn't the case with Omega.

I'm always open to adding variations and possibility. I would prefer if certain sets could cross over, allowing say an Adapted Maco Pulsewave rifle to work in conjunction with the Omega set. But really I enjoy my little P-90 Antiproton rifle. The only thing I care for is the fact that it needs remodulation far too often. It feels like my tier 3 ability to reduce remodulation only works with regular weapons. After I hit tier 3 Omega Rep I almost never have to remodulate my Ferenghi Whip or old style phaser rifle so oftentimes will just stick with those.

Why don't they just add each type of weapon to each set? That way when you get your set you can pick rifle, sniper rifle, Assault Minigun, etc. That would provide far more diversity to the game than anything. It would allow you to equip a sniper rifle or pulsewave for Borg then what every for anything else. They could do this for all sets in game.
