Because it's in an area where we are still at war, even if we get peace from season 9, the lower level stories will still have that area being at war.

For the same reason the federation can't visit ganalda station.

A pointless war contrived by Cryptic with every faction in every quadrant at war with each other. this story can't be brought to a finish soon enough imo. Oh no!! Cryptic is the Sith lord we've been looking for!!! *flees before order 66*

Ganalda Station's better than K-7, anyway. Especially with the Klingon you talk to at the end of Spin the Wheel.

Probably because K-7 was originally a civilian station (like Drozana is now) in Kirks time, but has apparently been taken over as a Federation outpost.

Even if the "war" ends, that doesn't necessarily mean Feds & Klingons get access to eachother's facilities. They still don't have access to Romulan facilities even though they're allied with them.

<insert sarcastic comment about the extreme one-sidedness of the Romulan alliance with Starfleet/KDF here>

K-7 isn't very exciting anyway, no need for my klingon to go there :D I would like a new cross faction starbase if S9 will indeed lead to a new accord between the UFP and the Empire. I'm voting for "Unity One"-esque approach of a joint ops starbase, complete with a Task Force Omega overhaul with unique purchasable weapons (Phased disruptors).

I would prefer if they added in Ty'Gokor station, since it is supposed to be the military HQ of the KDF.

hmmmm.... "Ty'Gokor also contained a shipyard. The engineers who worked at the shipyard worked on designing the Vo'Quv-class super carrier for over three years. (The Path to 2409)"

Apparently Ty'Gokor is the KDF equivalent of Utopia Planitia. thus not a good choice for a social hub.

Allowing Klingons access to K-7 would be far too much tribble.

I say we should let them... Just be sure to place indestructible automated defenses everywhere... LOADS of them.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

that is normal fed's can't hold their liquor and are passed out before temp get hot and the only way for Fed to outlast Klingon in drinking is by cheating

Not everybody Fed is a human. Just sayin'. If Jadzia Dax is anything to go by, Trills at least can take it.

EDIT: Plus, we've got all these pointy-ears running around now, and even Klingons have trouble with Romulan ale.
