Romulan Marks

Is anyone else as frustrated as I am with the Romulan rep system as I am? Not so much the system itself but the means in which to fill it to tier 5. Can we please get at least one proper elite STF(space preferably) for Romulan marks?

They really need to make STFs for every rep.

Yeah they need some stf style missions for the reps like romulans. As we dont have any big paying space romulan mark missions cept the 1 daily. The others like azura which seem to be getting worse at payouts lately are a small amount of marks for what a rep system devours. We need at least 1 space stf thats got a 1 hour cooldown or better that is elite and pays 50+ marks for said rep.

    OR..

Maybe all the stfs or other 5 man+ missions should reward a choice of marks and not just one or two types of makrs. Also they should provide a normal and elite version of said missions.

I mean Cryptic. Please, we would like more 50+ mark space missions for romulan marks etc that is repeatable with a hour cd.

Agreed, they need an STF for it, but you do know about epohhs, right? After about a week you should be rolling in marks, and if for some reason you do get low, 15 min in that planet next to new rom (gamma Esomething) for the "daily patrol something" mission gets you 60/day --- more than enough to fill up your rep grind.

They really do. I used the MI event to get rom marks for my latest alt which made it quite easy to hit T5. Personally, I'd love it if they fixed up the glaring issues with MI and turned it into a permanent event with a choice of fleet or rom marks.

Except myself and many others dont like ground stuff so epohh breeding isnt my thing to get the big marks. If it cant be done in space i wont do it tbh for grinding stuff.

I liked the new MI because it gave 60 marks for anything. It helped a great deal boosting my romulan and nukura mark progress. Now its gone im back to azura or somit. :( Im at tier 4 on my last alt now tho so not long to go then i gotta grind for that experimental plasma array from tier 5.

Elachi Alert gave a decent amount of marks. For some reason they removed it. They never really gave us a specific reason for doing so. What we are left with (Azure Nebula Resucue, The Vault, Atmopheric Assault, New Romulus) is just not worth it.

I agree. We need a STF type fleet action that gives Romulan marks.

Its like 30 seconds on the ground once a day, and suddenly you have 400 marks. Refusing to do that, since there are no viable alternatives, is only hurting yourself as you will now have to spend 7 days doing the patrol (2 hours time total) to get the same result as 7 days on the ground (3 min time total). I mean, do what you will, but 3 min a week of non combat is not a "grind". And, the epohh thing overlaps, so while one is being raised you are farming a second one, so it has a pipeline efficiency bonus.

As far as epohhs are concerned, I really don't care for too much ground stuff. Thank you for this suggestion though. I would just like to see some Elite Space STFs.

Also, I don't why in the Crystal Catastrophe an option for Romulan marks isn't available. Romulans hate Tholians as evident in their Tau Dewa Red Alert.

Yeah I did too that's the only reason my main is at tier 4.

I've been nagging for that since Romulan rep was released. If it's too much for em to make new STFs, they could at least give the Borg STFs a choice of marks.

Eppoh Tagging is best imo. It's crazy fast, and you only need about 3 elders to have the marks to hit T5.

IMO it's not STF's that makes the difference, it's the lack of an action zone. New Romulus is full of tedious mini-games, you can't just run around and grind out 1000 marks in an afternoon like Defera/Nukara/Spire.

I suppose the issue is what is fun for us all as players. Chasing rabbits around isn't fun for me even if it does offer a bunch of marks. I have done all that before in WoW and was tedious then, I suppose I may do it as a necessary evil as it were. My point was just that they need at least one elite STF for Romulans. And what would make it even more fun would be some fun lore behind said STF, even the STF with hijacked Romulan ships is kind of boring and uncreative.

As someone already said, go raise Epohs. One you get going, you'll make rep plenty fast. I have more than I know what to do with.

    How do you do this?

Land on new rom planet (not the base, the planet) at level 50. You will (if you have never done it) experience an extremely long and dull cutscene. After that, walk to the "epohh fields". Talk to the lady there. You then run around and "touch" (click on) the epohhs out in the wild for a very short period of time. You want to get 20+ if doing it solo, this may take you a couple of days to master.

After doing this for a few** days you will be able to do a duty officer mission from the same lady. This gives you a currency that can, after even more days, be used to buy a baby epohh. The type does not matter (just changes the color). Then you can visit the OTHER npcs to raise your epohh (daily duty officer missions until complete). If you crit the mission your epohh will change color and be "evolved" (does not matter, its just a pretty color). Once your epohh reaches the top level, turn in to the first lady for 400 marks. Once you buy an epohh and start raising it, you can continue to farm the mission to buy another baby, assembly line style.

*** if you solo the quest, once you master the game you get 3 tags per day easily. That means on day 2 you have 6 tags and spend 4 for the mission. On day 3 you have 5 tags and spend 4. On day 4 you have 4 tags and do the mission again. Day 5 is back to 3 tags, no mission, repeat the sequence.

If you do not solo the quest, the time investment is much higher as you stand there spamming for a group for a long time. You get 4 per day, but the amount of time wasted is significant, and is esp bad for KDF.
