Ok so I just hit level 50 and everything I have read said I should work toward getting the Solonae set of great from the mission. However I can't see to access the mission.

I go to the Dyson Sphere Gateway and I have this wonderful big green notification that there is a Dyson Sphere Introduction mission for me. I click on it and it tells me to either complete or remove the quest, " Sphere of Influence" from my log. well it isn't in my log so I can't do either???

What the heck am I missing here?

Honestly I also guess the entire reputation system has me a bit confused which I "think" the Solonae gear is somehow tied to. I mean what is the point of activating the Dyson Joint Command if I can't access the Dyson Sphere? Heck is the gear I am looking for even tied to ther reputation system?

They really kind of need some sort of tutorial or perhaps they do have one but I don't know where to look.

The solane set is from mission in your mission dialog.

Hit your combadge on the mini map on episodes look towards the bottom. there is a single mission that you replay again and again to get the equipment.

If it is greyed out go back through all the other missions and click skip. (from klingon through borg) before you can have access to the mission.

Bring up the mission select screen, select the Solanae mission set, scroll to bottom. The one you want is the last one.

You now do that one 3 times, and the final piece of the set is in the grind-freebie Dyson you got for mucking around with mini-Qs.

    like this.

Ok I see what the problem is. The quest is part of a long chain and not just accessable because you hit level 50. Since I am just finishing Spectres looks like I have 40-50 missions to knock ot before I get there.

if you are lvl 50 you can skip the spectre mission and come back to it after you do the solanae mission.

You could then after doing 1 of the solanae do one of the spectre then repeat as there is a cool down between doing the same mission over and over. This would allow the cooldown to complete

I wouldn't recommend this course, though it does work.

The missions leading up to the Sphere of Influence offer some good gear, and most important some good XP, which you may need for Rep Projects and Promoting/Upgrading BoFF's later. Plus running through them all in order does (somewhat) add to the RP story arc.

However, if all you care about is the Solonae gear, then by all means skip them.

Just FYI in case you missed it,

2x xp bonus for running any mission starting Monday since you get the biggest xp on the initial play through you might want to wait. I was getting 20k xp for the spectres mission since I skipped them when leveling during the last 2x xp event.
