Or do they have a "resolution" custom where they off themselves at 30?
Better question: Who wants to play an old nearly naked green chick?

where are all the children, of all the colonies that i have visited like new romulus being the most visited but there are others like DS9 and bajor i have yet to see one child.
sure i have seen a few aliens that are shorter in stature then other characters but they are obviousley not children.
it would be nice when you visit these places to see a few children running arround or playing games in the street and such, maybe even a few women carrying babys would be nice to see.
even episodes that are set in colonies should feature children, episodes such as "mine enemy" spring to mind.
and dont tell me children in star trek are not canon, there have been many episodes from TOS onwards that featured children.
another prime location you would have thought to see children was risa, or dont people take their kids on holiday anymore, or perhaps its a 18-30 holiday resort at risa.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

TV shows didn't have to deal with Sickos on the Internet.
HUMANS look old for physiological reasons, just because HUMANS age (and I assume Vulcans, and certain other species) and our appearance changes, doesn't mean all species do ...
So where is it written that ALL lifeforms in the galaxy have to go through physical changes as they age? And what IS the actual life expectancy of Orion's anyway?
Perhaps, once they reach their version of "puberty" they essentially stop aging and remain physically the same until 30? 50? 80?
Plus, as mentioned above ... Who want's to see a flabby skinned, wrinkly, half nekkid Orion's running around? (well some on STO would I guess, but ... ewww.)
Most of what makes you look old is damage from sunlight.
Here's some advice you can apply in real life to stay youthful-looking:
1. SUNLIGHT IS EVIL: IT BURNS!!!
2. Never smiling helps you keep your youthful complexion.
3. Bathing in the blood of virgins keeps your skin supple and youthful.

So a certain popular fantasy MMO which is mainly about humans and orcs and whose name is censored here is a sicko-free zone for some reason? Because there are plenty of playing children there. Heck, they even have an event where you take care of an orphan for a day.
FKA K-Tar, grumpy Klingon/El-Aurian hybrid. Now assimilated by PWE.
Sometimes, if you want to bury the hatchet with a Klingon, it has to be in his skull. - Captain K'Tar of the USS Danu about J'mpok.

Ideas:
Orions have, thanks to their evolution and then advanced genetic engineering, rarely an old look, even if well in the 130s.
Orion females turn into males if they get older. (Or the other way aroud?)
Old Orion women are leading business or criminal empires in hiding for their own safety.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

indeed, i was just thinking of new romulus and the fact that it is supposed to be home for romulan refugees who were lucky enough to survive when old romulus was destroyed.
it just made me think of what its like when you see refugees on the telly from some natural or not so natural event that has caused them to flee their home, you normally see old people, middle aged, children and women with babys in the refugee camps and i was thinking that you never see stuff like that on sto.
obviousley some settings in sto you would never expect to see children or older people but other places like as i mentioned new rom and bajor you should have npc`s of all ages.
