Lets Invade Q'onos Already!!! Wtf!!!

It's been over 4 years now, and those wet-dog smelling triceratops wannabe space pirates have had it coming for a while.

Seriously, lets play STO like a chess game, and win each system for the Federation. Have the klingons summoned to fight for the planet, and if they loose in more instances than win that day, then they loose the planet. They can get it back another time if their fleets log on during a designated battle day.

It would be perfect for expanding game content, with introducing minimal new content.

Who will fight the Klingoffs, off? Whatever federation fleets have 5 players online will get the invite to fight in that system. at the end of the day, whoever has won the most instances, gets that system. The map can change plenty. This would be a great way to mix pvp with npc's that already exist in the vulcan system for instance.

give fleets options to go to these systems and attack and win. please. it would give me something to do. something to work towards. i could destroy the empire once and for all.

Dumbest idea I've ever seen on the forums. No way in hell do I want to lose access to my home planet. It's the only place I can retrain bridge officers.

OP, I'm curious; why do you have a Klingon Empire symbol for your avatar?

As much fun as we might have while releasing a virus into the atmosphere and watching their cranial ridges vanish........I doubt the High Counsel would ever allow any non-KDF personnel anywhere near the system.
I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

theres gank and then there slaughter.......which do you think this would be?

Besides, does the OP realize that most of the PVP vets are KDF?
Also, with the numbers being what they are, KDF players are out numbered. either ALL the vets would come together and hold the hell out of a planet or, the fed's sheer numbers would allow them to win.....

You sniveling petaQ! You call yourself a warrior!? A true Klingon would leap at the opportunity to defend his home planet!

Seriously, though, no need to invade anything: the way Cryptic treats the Klink, soon their entire faction will have died off by itself.

if they added or altered a sector of space for territory control that could work. it just wouldn't ever happen on anyone's home worlds.

Klingons died a long way ago. Now, they are nice hippie who loves to catch space rabbits for their Romulan best friends.

I don't know what kind of drugs the Romulan gave to them, but it was really potent.

I was thinking about similar thing, how awesome would be, but something like that will never happen.
Then i though how about fleet vs. fleet for neutral sector control?
It would bring sense of community among the fleets. Just like some tournament, and just reset everything when the one fleet wins.

As my KDF alt would say:

I am VERY much against using the native home systems for PVP.

If you doubt my resolve in this matter, a demonstration CAN be arranged.

you know what would be a better idea? buying freight loads of bars of soap, then unpackaging one of these bars and waving it in front of a klingons face, there is no greater dishonor then bathing.:D
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

7 of 9 date huh.. ask and ye shall receive.

    ...
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Tournament for control a neutral sector it's a VERY interesting ideea. And i think it can be done. There are solutions and can be rewards for us and for developers, too. I will not discuss now about solutions.
We will have to have a build for PVP and one for PVE, thats mean more demand for ships, weapons and so on, and so some of us will buy them with real money. Many players have now only builds for PVE.
For us a few marks, a few Doffs even white, a few comodities , some dill or samples could be enough.
In the end, the ideea worth attention and sound VERY interesting.

Yes it is an interesting idea. It could work if the PvP in this game was broken beyond repair. The only way this could work id for them to spend time actually working on the system to create a new working one. This would involve making hard decisions and sticking with them.

A snowball stands a better chance in hell than seeing this getting done.

BSGO does it. Now you cannot get to some of the inner core protected systems but there are days when you log in and the map is almost all Blue or Red depending on what faction was able to get a big enough fleet together and roll the map. It's fun, it's back and forth, it's never ending. There are noob systems that low levels can go farm and shoot NPC's in but yes there are high levels ganking noobs. And there are players that purposlly go after noobs, but it is frowned upon. But in STO they would need to have particular sectors created for the territory control. So for people that dont want to be attacked can avoid them and go about their PVE gaming. But I dream of epic 50 on 50 Star Trek battles like BSGO has when two large fleets line up to duke it out. But alas I dont think this player base would ever stay in formation, have escourts protect cruisers, Sci ships buff and debuff and fighter wings doing the brunt of the dog fighting and strafing. The game engine is just not built like that.

Regardless of the merit of the OP's idea, it's rather moot considering that season 9 is going to end the Federation/KDF war.

Nah, I think "OP is a petaQ" probably covers it.
