I have had the Raider since the winter event, and played around with it on all of my 5 characters. I always used dual heavy cannons on the front, and a combination of turrets and cutting beam on the back. While flanking, I was getting crits up to 3,000. Then, I started playing with the Sci/Des. Fun to play with, but don't have Science goons yet.
Then, about a month ago, I started playing with Aux2Bat on my Scimitar. I love the DOFF's abilities, and even set it up on my Klingon cruiser (the free one at level 40). Yesterday, I decided to put that build on my Breen Raider. It gets more DPS flanking with beam arrays, using A2B and FAW3, than it does with dual heavy cannons, using cannon rapid fire 3, and flanking.
It looks odd seeing the Raider running beams and not cannons, but with it's speed, I can flank the enemy, and still pile on the hurt without needing to position myself so I am keeping them in the firing arc of my cannons. I can even put a fast firing torp, like the Omega, or Hyper on the back, and just make tight circles. Due to the speed, it is hard for the enemy to hit me.
I am loving the A2B build. Though it is over powerful, it is fun to play with. I run it with only green DOFFS, and can usually keep up in PVP with ones using purple. This makes it cheap to be able to try it out and see if you like it, then upgrade them later to purple. That is what I am doing.

...As to my ship, I turned it into a torpboat - the flanking hits are horrendously powerful (I'm tempted to hyper-buff a tric torp with flanking to see the devastation)

Just thought I should pitch in.
First of all Aux2Bat + doffs isn't an exploit, it's working as intended. It allows less fortunate cruisers, for example the Fleet Galaxy and Galaxy-X, to remain competitive with other tactically oriented cruisers. (By competitive, I mean they won't blow up within 15 seconds of combat)
Second, the main problem with the Raider will be power levels. Since the Raider isn't a cruiser and thus has less weapon power drain resistance, keeping up the constant 125 levels is difficult. Marion + DEM is your friend!
Third, survivability may be an issue depending on your loadout. Speed is also your friend (since speed = defense bonuses!).

Thank you for letting me know. I am still new to forums use, and there are some things I an still learning. I edited it to remove it.

I edited the word out as you were typing this. Another person mentioned not using the word. Lol.
As far as power levels, I am able to keep them high enough. I run my weapons power to 100, and put my shields to about 55, and dump the rest into engines. Aux is set to 15. When I pop A2B, my weapons are maxed, shields are at 110, and engines reach 70.
Since I am using A2B, I only need 1 tactical seat. My others are as follows:
Lt. Commander Engineering- Egg. Team1, A2B1, Reverse Shield Polarity3.
Lt. Engineering - Emergency Power to Shields1, A2B1
Lt. Science - Hazard Emitters1, Tractor Repulsor1
Ensign Science - Science Team1
I am thinking about putting Science team 2 in the Lt. station, and getting rid of the repulsion. It is fun to play with, but not needed that much. And I know that with an A2B build, Hazard Emitters is not that good for heals, I use it when fighting Romulans, or Borg to keep the plasma burn out.
With all the heals, and the speed, I am able to tank the Raptors, and Neg'Var that pop near the cubes to attack you in the Cure Found. I do need to cycle my heals just right to stay ahead of them, but I can do it. Plus, my skill tree is design to make escorts like heavy gunships. They hit hard, and can tank a little also.

It's working as intended, but come season 9, those aux2bat builds will get much easier to pop.
This is the first I've heard about a nerf regarding Aux2Bat.

I think I missed something. What are they doing in season 9 to change that? If anything, I thought they would go the other way.
