i have read the blog and tested the kits on tribble i have to say i am disappointed with what they have done with kits ok there are some positives you can more or less customize your kit they way you want my problem is why do the kit modules cost ec and the add ons cost dil i know cyptic need to make money but i would prefer them to stay as they are what do you guys think
I mean EC is really easy to come by. 15/20 mins in a foundry farming mission and you have at least 500k minimum. That sum can easily be much higher if the loot fairy likes you that day.
As for dil. Meh, I'm used to all the endgame toys needing dil. Space and ground sets have needed it for a long time so I'm not surprised I'll need some for kits too. As long as the costs are reasonable I won't mind - I'm the kind of player that specs into a single kit anyway so it'll be a one off cost.
Cryptic has far better means to pay the bills than kits, so I'm not worried about that either. All in all I think any reasonable cost is justified for more customisation options - both function and look.
look some people are not good a Grammer so get over it some people have learning difficulties you can read what is says so just answer the question if not don.t comment
I have never found the Perfect kit for me. The current kits focussed too much one one thing or another that I want. Now I can make my own balanced mix. And since I tend to play balanced instead of overspecced, I am not complaining at all.
Yes, it will take some time to get the pieces you want. But the fun thing is, you can collect them outside of ground combat. You can just do some STF runs, grab the pieces you want and go back to ground.
I get the feeling that the dilithium panic strikes again. Sure you'll need dilithium but it isn't like it's a challenge to make. Don't forget people, MMOs usually want you to grind to some extend to get the goodies you want... granted, STO is massive on grind but imagine if you'd get everything in 1 day, wouldn't be much use in continuing to play unless you'd like to go sit on ESD or First City and look all awesome-y?
Just give it a chance, we'll see what happens when it comes out and if it is outrageous in cost, if there's enough of us filing a constructive complaint, I'm sure it'll get fixed eventually.

Does that make it easier to read?
Now on topic.
I am liking the idea of the changes, I will wait until I get to fiddle about with them in game before making a final judgement. I did find the ones we have a tad restrictive, and on some I would use one or two items but the rest never got touched. This way I can make one more useful to me.

Why do you think they havn't vamped crafting yet? Or exploration?
They need to find ways to moneytize it first.
