Like the title says but as a reputation reward and if we could have a voth scientist surly we could have a undine who is a engineer :D we've already got too many tacs and sci's special bridge officers from the featured Episode series

One really cool thing they could do with this is it could look like any race in the appropriate faction uniform. So like a Vulcan Engineer or a Nausicaan Tactical. Then when on the ground, it could have a power it activates to Undine-out.

    I would dig that.

We got BOFFs of many "strange" species (like Breen or Borg or Voth or a Jem'Hadar) that you would not expect to ally with STF/KDF/RRF so ... why not

How do you know one of your bridge officers isn't an Undine already? ;)

Undine bio-engineer? I can't see a problem with that. Well, the canon folk will probably have a good moan about it but personally I have no issue with it.

Make a change to have an actual alien on the bridge crew.

    Good one.
Anyway, even undine doffs are a bad idea, maybe Gekli?

Yep undine boff at tier 5 is the big prize for completing the rep...... then it takes over your ship by impersonating you (ssneaky undine ).

How about they have like...I don't know...a scientist or something (they have those, right?) and he is all pissy with his government and sends out like secret messages or so and you get like one message every tier, that explains the story in a "only tell, never show" kinda way and in the end he joins you...just like that, without any real mission. That would be awesome.

10k says it'll be a Hylasa (sp?) (People inside the Gekli) if it's a boff at all.

A Hylasa bridge officer might not be out of the question. They're the other intelligent race we've met from Fluidic Space, who live aboard the gekli, and are enemies of the Undine. It's possible one might be persuaded to spend some time aboard a ship from our universe, in the common interest of defending against the Undine.

We already know that in order to have Undine boff, we will have to make some modifications to our bridge. This is the requirement, it will probably be unlocked at t4 or t5:

The Breen and Voth don't all believe that their species' current behaviors and goals are correct... There are plenty of people who would rather fight on the other side. The Liberated Borg are fairly obvious, and I don't really know about the Jem'Hadar, but I suppose that they're a little more free now, so some are joining the crews of various ships.

Well the thing with the Jem'Hadar is that its implied the Dominion just gives you one because you sprung the Female Changeling from 4028. They're not exactly stingy with these guys.

I'm not against the idea if the playerbase wants it I guess.
What would be nice would be if there were an alternative choice other than having a member of a species hell bent on the destruction of our entire galaxy on my bridge. Other than of course simply not putting it on my boff roster.
I simply don't fancy it on my bridge, they'd have to tell one hell of a story for me to be cool with that. And god I'd want to shoot them every time I saw one in dyson battlezone etc. A liberated borg is at least on your side (probably) but an undine?? No they REHEALLy hate us.

I could see them doing an Undine... maybe a Tac? But an Undine Engineer might be interesting, especially if they have a special power, like fabricating a "turret" that does psi damage or something...

After we demolish dozens of undine ships i am certain cooper will lose his nerve and defect to the Federation or Romulan Republic (the Klingons would execute him on the spot so no chance he'll go there).

While i am not yet at T5 on tribble i think it is not very likely that we'll get an undine boff.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    That would be incredibly stupid.

Also: It will as sure happen as the undine lockbox bioship.

    Hmm, an undine BOFF?

I'll be interested if they have somekind of cool gimmick for ground combat, Perhaps it could turn itself into the physical form of whatever enemy you are fighting? Like the Romulan drone ships do with their holo projectors

Could be on a cool down too, as we know they need to take isomorphic injections or some other kind of technobable to change form

Actually I don't think the undine-changelings work like the Dominion-Changelings and can just adapt to everything.
The way I got it from the Voyager episode they needed some serious preparation to mimic someone.

Although... at least on 2 occasions in STO they changed into someone different pretty fast. I just like to believe that they were prepared to mimic that particular person (since in both cases it were high ranking officers)

If it is just for the totally alien aspect of being tripedal, what about Lt. Arex from TAS? Granted he has that third arm, but it is different than all the other humanoids that is offered.

Your probably right, I'd have to rewatch a lot of the episodes to be sure since its been a while

On a related note, I remember somebody suggested that some of the admirals in STO are undine defectors, not sure who started that idea, but i think it could be interesting if the devs picked up on that idea, an undine on our side
