Are these ships at least so they can have different firing techniques and different ways of attacking. I am still wondering why STO is considering in the future of Star Trek how come none of the Borg's new ships and new techniques are in the game? The Borg have assimilated 3000+ more species since Voyager, Obviously their technology has advanced. This ships should be the probes used for Borg Elite missions and the regular probes used for Normal.
Also again, the Cubes and Tactical Cubes should be able to use the Borg Shield drain pulse used in Borg Sector Invasions. Here is the ship --

Lastly, have the Borg recognize the resistance given in normal missions by changing their dialogue to say their species number(for the ships used), and add some random reinforcement calls.

Maybe when Cryptic releases the Borg lockboxes is when they'll get a much needed revamp.
why would anyone want more borg, they're the epitome of countless cliches, one of which is the old unstoppable villain, which repeatedly gets "stopped" by whatever writers will come up with next, plus they look and are boring.
if anything, i'd like to see the borg get totally wrecked in the actual story, not just gameplay, but i guess cryptic can't do that without pissing off CBS.
So in one ISE run the Borg fight like Voth, and in the next one like the Dominion - abilities and all.
To be fair seeing all hostile NPC's change up their tactics every now and then would be good.
fixed it for you
Ultimaltly, on the one hand, the Borg are far to weak in this game. It are the f*** Borg, one ship usually can annihilate an entire fleet.
And while we may have made some progression in fighting them, certainly not THAT much.
So my approach at a Borg-revamp is still the same it was 4 years ago: Just switch the models around. Turn tactical cubes into "normal" cubes visually, turn cubes into spheres visually ect ect. (while maintaining their current strength of course)
A cube appearing should be rare and intimidating.
A tactical cube could be a CE-like fleet action.
On the other hand:
I have to agree with that. I've seen enough Borg anyway by now, they got boring no matter how they get changed at this point.
"Coffee: the finest organic suspension ever devised. It's got me through the worst of the last three years. I beat the Borg with it."
Is Eltie Borg some sort of Star Trek reference to Elton John?
If cryptic changed anything of the Borg i would like it to be assimilation of player ships. On death simply drop a clone of the player ship kitted out with assimilation visuals. Then you can either have it fade when the player respawns or just have the ship permanent.
However with no one dying to the Borg it does seem like a general revamp would be in order first.
