Is there anyway to obtain a copy of this product? If so, how and where?

Is there anyway such items like Device - Red Matter Device and Console - Tactical - Automated Defense Turret can be made available for purchase in the Zen Store? I would really like to purchase them.

i'd love a new way to obtain the red matter capacitor, i missed my opportunity to get it for 10 bucks. but the automated defense turret? really? do people want that? i've had it since the beginning and i'm not sure if i ever equipped it even once.

actually i can understand that the rmc will probably never show up again, since there's probably a good number of people that paid more than they should have for it, and it could cause some rage. but maybe the rechargeable shield battery could get added to a lockbox sometime as a 5% chance or something?

I would love them to offer the items from the CD versions of the game again. And the missing emotes.

The Red Matter Capacitor is from the Collector's Edition and there should still be some kicking around. You want an unopened copy of it. There is no way to get the Digital Deluxe Edition unless Cryptic or PWE decide to do some promotion with it. Since the RMC is still available, then it won't be added to the C-Store.

The main use of the Automated Defense Turret is High Yield Plasma Torpedo protection and Cloak detection. It will fire at anything within its limited range, but I suggest you never use it on a cloaked ship since it ruins the alpha strike.

Thats probably your best shot for the RMC...

You can then claim it from the Cryptic Store... Unfortunally the DDE is "sold out" it seems (thats what I got), so you just have to wait until the agreement runs out and you can buy it in the C-Store.

Link above you might even score the Borg BO's still. As of 2012 they still had copies with the Borg BO unlock. There's a thread about it on that link above. No posts since but then no posts at all on the link in any thread since then. But you might get lucky with that too from Amazon.

Thread there is named "Borg Officer is still available". Funny there were some "Debbie Doubters" (play on D. Downer) who swore those were only available with pre-orders but it was pointed out some yellow names on the old forums pulled a ME2 Council. "Ah yes. Preorders. We dismissed that claim." I don't think this game truly had any preorders as the exclusives were tied to the retail copy and what key was entered.

Also if it's not fulfilled by Amazon or sold by Amazon directly you may not get the Borg because as said above paragraph it was tied to retail copies sold by Amazon but Amazon will pull their own inventory for the Fulfill by Amazon to ship from your closest storage place.

I just noticed the price. those use to go for about 10 bucks. Two sellers left trying to sell for 150? /jaw drop

It isn't worth that much IMO. Find the CE elsewhere and you can then just buy the BO's from the C-Store for less than that.

Don't forget that if you purchase the Collector's Edition, you also get the badge. That's an item in-hand. If the game fails, you still have something to hold onto. BTW, it's a very sexy piece of work.

    Buy the Collector's Edition.

Got mine from the preordered Collector's Edition/LTS back in the day. I'd honestly be surprised if they're still floating around 4 years later. The CE was reissued with F2P, so it's possible, I guess. Wouldn't seem likely, though.

Woot! We both got it for a fraction of the original price!:D

7 dollars at Amazon January 2012. But because it wasn't 25 dollars on the order, with shipping it came to 10 dollars. But had a 5 dollar Amazon gift card so total out of pocket was 5 dollars.

Yea... Except its a One-mount-tactical console...

So yes... you CAN have 10 in your inventory, you can't mount more than one... And even if you could, it would only be 5 on a fleet ship.

I believe he means he uses it along with other turret consoles and turrets in weapons slots. ;)

Maybe, But in that case, the Automated turret is still relatively useless, as it has only a range of 3'ish KM...

You're better off with the Thunderchild console... At least you can slot that in a Sci console slot.

There is ONE thing the Automated console is GREAT for: Plasma Damage Accolade.

I purchased my CE way back when Amazon US was selling them for $8.

Based on some info from the forums, I purchased the gold edition from the Amazon UK site for my partner's account on the assertion that it granted the Red Matter Capacitor. Didn't have to create a new Amazon account or have a UK address, just used my Amazon US login. Arrived just last week. Once the codes were entered, he had access to the RMC, a few Cryptic points, and more inventory for his free account.

    About $20 with shipping - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Trek-Online-PC-DVD/dp/B002ZG87WU/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1396282033&sr=1-1&keywords=star+trek+online

He was right: a cruiser with eight turrets in the weapon slots and two in the console slots.

Really, it is not about being better off. It is not a PvP Ship; it is used for PvE (or PvP against my non-PvP-Build-Using friend). It is about fun and this ship IS fun. :D

I play TOR, LIKE TOR and have the CE for it, but 1500 is rediculas.

That said SW:TOR's CE has a number of "Material" things that make it, for a fan likely to retain some value. Ignoring the in game benifits (the CE store is largely not important, yes it has some unique things in it, but nothing too exciting) it does however have the statue of Malgus (back in the day someone noted buying a statue like that by itself proably would cost you around 50 bucks) a "lore book" that does have some intreasting stuff in it. and a security key fob.

so I can see it having a higher value then the STO CE as it simply has more actual stuff.

and I say this as a guy whom owns both STO and SW:TOR's CE

Hi Wanderintx can you recall what the code said when you went to activate the Gold Edition? When I went to activate it the text said something like "Star Trek Retail". I decided not to activate it after that...

I will have him check his account to be sure, but as I recall, entering the code on the back of the brochure activated the retail account. Basically, a 30 days paid subscription. It was the second code on an included slip advertising a free DS9 uniform that activated the Collector's Edition, including the RMC. The code was under a scratch off on that slip of paper.

Edit: Confirmed. You have to use the code off of the DS9 uniform set paper to get the RMC. Funny thing about the Gold Edition is that it nowhere mentions being able to get the RMC. And if you already had the DS9 uniform set, you might miss it entirely by skipping that code. It says Gold Edition activated in his active key list.

Exxxxxactly! It amuses meh. And that is all that matters.

On the rare occasion that I ~did~ use it in PvP back in the day, it was useful. You see, it is a Galaxy-X. When you have a 360 Firing Arc, sometimes people forget about that Phaser Lance in the front.... :P

Update on the RMC for Gold Edition.

Since then I was able to get a Collector's Edition so my main account was good, but that left me with a copy of the Star Trek Gold Edition. I applied the code on the booklet to a 2nd free account... that code is only for the retail version... gave me 500 zen and an extra character slot. The Z Store says the "Energy Credit Cap Increase" is purchased, but I am told it will revert back once my 30 day sub expires. I do have access to the Account Bank thou with 20 slots.

Anyway I applied the 2nd code found on the slip of paper for the free uniform and when I went to activate it, the text on screen clearly says "Star Trek Gold Edition" not Bajoran Uniform :p

Logged into 2nd account and I can claim the RMC. :) Yeah.

So for folks who only want the RMC you can still get it if you buy the UK/EU Star Trek Gold Edition.
