1. A bunch of cool missions NO GRIND just good storytelling to get your mind off the grinding.
2. A bunch of stuff for the klingons, Hair, Closing, Targs and other stuff !!!
3. Grind missions with an actual story in it !!!

1. PWE and the whole set of SUITS that keep meddling with the game painfully dieing in a car fire or plane crash.
2. A Rebalance Attempt that hits the TRUE source of the Power Creep: Zen Store Assets (aka Zen Ships, their consoles, Lockbox Ships, their consoles, 'Special Variant' Doffs from various Boxes and Packs)
3. A 'Normal' Mode in STFs that is worth doing, and has the exact same objectives as an Elite Mode, so that people can start learning in Normal, and actually get some reward for their time.
4. A rework of Non-Tactical 'Attack' Powers, so that they no longer benefit from 'Outgoing Damage' Buffs of any kind, and another rework in Season 10, where they then get rated according to the TRUE performance, not the skewed Metrics that they get due to AP:Alpha or Go Down Fighting.

None of that will happen. It'll be one mission and a super grind event. Klingons will get nothing and there'll be no new, long STFs.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
Will there even be "9.5"? As far as I know, 8.5 was the first time a .5 Season happened. Did a dev say that this is the new standard?
I suspect with the positive reception of having smaller but more frequent major updates, Cryptic would continue doing small mid-season improvements. Nothing was said officially but it's a good guess.

They said at the beginning of Season 1 that their intention was not to ONLY have updates at the launch of each season, but to treat each season like a season of the TV shows (hence the name), and have content released throughout.
I didn't play at that time. Played the Beta, Season 1, then I paused, came back around Season 4, paused again, then came back for Season 7 and stayed ever since.

Sadly, people will rage over the foundry, when it isn't some Farmerama with Enemy Ships fully drained of power, and minimal shields.
To be completely honest... Farmerama likely gets more people laying user generated content than the story missons (excluding Spotlight). People will abuse the system, but nerfing the system to hell and back is NOT the answer.

Well it was there... Personally I was rather baffled with it back then, and I THINK there has been one more .5 apart from those two, but I can't say for sure.
Personally, I am not a big fan of .5 ... I much rather they don't give away release dates, and then FINISH the content before they release it...
.X'es should only be used for major fixing.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
A shuttle bay with your bought shuttles inside the ship, and a cut scene to borad your shuttle and leave your ship, with another cut scene with docking your shuttle in the ships bay. and you can repair your little ship in the bay itself. have are ships have a astrometrics lab to upgrade your ship sensors and have a better galaxey map with more systems and other races that are not on your normal map.

1. A fully independent and sovereign New Romulan Republic -- which can maintain the alliances. In fact, keep the alliances, but make the faction a full faction (New Romulan Republic, not Tal'Shiar; if those who favor the ghost of the Empire want a faction, it should be entirely separate from the New Romulan Republic and would not have alliances with the Feds or the KDF, nor access to reputation particular to New Romulus or any reputation requiring joint missions with UFP, Klingon Empire, or New Romulan Republic, and it should be "Tal'Shiar" rather than "Romulan Star Empire" -- nor should it be "Imperial Romulan State," and Donatra would not be part of a Tal'Shiar faction even if she were liberated, unless her character has been so warped by her assimilation as to result in an entirely different personality).
2. Romulan/Reman Fleet Holding aesthetic projects for any fleet leader to slot in order to give a more Romulan/Reman look and feel to the fleet's holdings. (See this thread, which is only one of three pertaining to this idea.)
3. A nightclub at New Romulus Command (there are unused doors in the Command Center any one of which could be opened up to provide access to a nightclub), with a Bartender (who sells Romulan Ale and Kali-Fal).
4. A Romulan Academy inside the Capitol City on ch'Mol'Rihan.
5.a. A Romulan Senate Building inside the Capitol City on ch'Mol'Rihan (even an exterior plainly labelled as such would suffice -- for now).
5.b. Who are the NPC members of the Senate? Or at least, who are the most prominent NPC members? We should know!
5.c. Are there other bodies within the New Romulan Republic besides the Senate? In particular, has/have the High Council and/or the Grand Council been revived? If so, who are the important NPCs who sit on one or the other or both? We should know!
6. Open the Capitol City on ch'Mol'Rihan to New Romulan Republic players (you can put the Academy and Senate Building in there), and add another nightclub there.
7. Opening up the Capitol City on New Romulus also means letting us see part of the Reman area thereof.
8. A name for the Capitol City on ch'Mol'Rihan. See my ticket [Incident: 140115-000082], wherein I suggested (among other things, some of which I'm including here) the name "Hachae s'Temer" for the Capitol City (the name means "Soul of Temer").
9. There is no Security Officer at New Romulus Command. We need one there.
10. More Science ships for the Romulan faction.
11. A Full Carrier for the Romulan faction.
12. T'varo Warbirds as Hangar Pets (combat pets).
13. The Raptor art from the T'liss in TOS "Balance of Power" available for the bottom of all Warbirds.
14. A T5 Romulan D7 (with the Raptor art as seen in the digitally remastered edition of "The Enterprise Incident") and an interior which looks like that of the D7 flagship seen in the same episode (original and digitally remastered).
15. More Romulan ship interior options.
16. The ability to display wall trophies in the Ready Room of Romulan ships, and the ability to display wall trophies and floor trophies in the Club of Romulan ships.
17. Fix the missions so that members of the Romulan Republic faction are not referred to by NPCs as if they were Starfleet or Klingons.
18. More Romulan costumes and fix the bugs with the current costumes (also expand the KDF color palette to the full color palette; even if Klingons are color-blind, the Orions are not, and neither are their Romulan allies).
19. The off-duty gown worn by the Romulan Commander in TOS "The Enterprise Incident," along with the drop-shaped earrings she wears while in that dress and the large and rather baroque-looking ring. And of course, her hairdo, although one of the available hairdos is sort of close.
20. A New Romulan Republic logo among the options available for Fleet Emblems (instead of only the old Romulan Star Empire logo).
21. Ter'jas Mor system and surface area, including a meeting with Melani D'ian, and a mission from her available to KDF players (or at least to Orion players).
22. More to do on Vulcan (and fix the "daily" mission "Ancestral Sin" so that it is actually a daily, i.e., repeatable).
23. So far, all of the important, high-ranking personalities we have seen in the New Romulan Republic's government and military have been male. We have D'Tan, Obisek, Kererek, all holding high office/rank. The Romulan females we have seen in positions of authority have been of considerably lower rank, like Commander and Subcommander. This is ... dissonant with the generally accepted view that the basic unit of Romulan society, the hfihar ("house," "clan," "houseclan,"or "tribe") is based on matrilnear descent, that the hfihar is almost always led by a female, that a male Romulan leaves his hfihar and joins that of his wife (with only rare exceptions), that Romulan society has had a number of Queens and Empresses and female Praetors and so on. So don't you guys think it's time for some powerful Romulan women in the New Romulan Republic's government and military (besides my brilliant and lovely character, who, as the Fleet Admiral of the Tal'Diann, is the Chief of Military Intelligence, is a member of the Romulan Star Command on equal footing with the other members thereof, holds a seat on the Continuing Committee, and reports directly to, and only to, the Proconsul ... or at least that's what some sites say about whomever happens to be the head of the Tal'Diann, and since my main created the one and only "Tal'Diann" fleet in STO, that would be my main). But yeah, surely my main isn't the only brilliant, gorgeous, and deadly Romulan woman in a position of high authority within the Republic, so let us see more high ranking political and military personages in the Republic who are female. *nod*

I don't think we'll see a 9.5 update. I think after 9 all of cryptic's efforts will be put into making the new expansion pack coming out towards the end of the year. Then they'll do a season 10 sometime around march or april of next year.
 Sure. In a .5 Season... well, you certainly wouldn't want the faction added in half a Season.
PS: Will there even be "9.5"? As far as I know, 8.5 was the first time a .5 Season happened. Did a dev say that this is the new standard?
To be honest, it just seemed like season 8 was released like this because part of it wasn't going to be finished fast enough, but they wanted to get something out quick enough to boost player numbers for the year.
I think, that if it is done properly, they can do it in a way that is a lot better. For example, if we do get more than a featured episode, we can get them ahead of the main content. They can tell the story leading up to the new grind we get.
