Hi devs

today i noticed two things one was that the featured mission whas put on top of the list for the group finder. thats a great addition to the game I am really happy whit it!

now the other i am not so happy whit. or better said somwhat baffled by. it has to do whit ending the featured mission. you get a message telling you:
The dreadnought has been destroyed and the area is free of trans-dimensional portals.

Thank you, Admiral. Without your help, Vauthil Station would have been lost.

Rifts closed: 20 marks
Starbase defense level: 15 marks
Starbase health: 0 marks
Defeating boss fleet within time limit: 5 marks
Base Marks: 40
Elite Multiplier: 1.5x
Total marks: 60
how does this add up to 60 marks?
if i do the math i get: 20+15+0+5+40=80
i don't know if the multyplier is part of the mark erned for each cagory or will be multiplied at the end?
if so: 80x1.5=120

according to the math i sould be getting eiter 80 or 120 marks but i am only awarded 60? why does this happen? am i rewarded the correct amount of marks? are the subtotals wrong?

to clarify:
playing the elite dificulty.
closed 29 rifts
starbaese to level 5
no starbase healt
boss defeted whitint time limit.

still had fun and still got marks (it wasn't for noting) but if i was supposed to get more i want more the next time around.....
THE NEW CRAFTING SYSTEM IS TERRA-BAD
First of all it's not even a crafting system! It's just a dumb game system that's nothing more than a glorified slots machine.
second the "special items" you hope will be the saving the saving grace are messed up to.

    You're calculating it wrong.

20+15+5 = 40. Then multiply it by 1.5 for the Elite Difficulty gives you 60 marks. Base marks is just the total marks you earned based on the outcome of the mission.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.

    20+15+5 = 40 (base marks) * 1.5 = 60 marks

your adding the 40 which you shouldnt, the base mark is all marks earned ie the 40, that is used for the multiplier, 40 x 1.5 = 60

    Uh, here:
    Rifts closed: 20 marks
    Starbase defense level: 15 marks
    Starbase health: 0 marks
Defeating boss fleet within time limit: 5 marks

Base Marks: 40 (sum of the items above)

    Elite Multiplier: 1.5x
    Total marks: 60 (= 40 * 1.5)

    EDIT: triple ninja! awesome!

to avoid confusion they could/should have left out the base marks because that reads like: basic amount of marks for completing the mission....
i can calclate the final number just fine whitout that subtotal. i mean (20+15+0+5)x1.5=60 is not that hard.

giving two totals just create unnesisary confusion. the final number only does the job just fine.

It's not math, it's the fact that "base marks" can be confused as another category of earned marks, although looking at all totals you should be able to tell it's the sum.

Thank you for that lesson. But alas tonight will be the fourteen day of collecting, thus no more teaching of math for a while.
