This isn't to people who already maxed out all of them on a toon but those still working on it or about to start a new alt about to reach 50.
Which rep do you plan to grind out now that you won't be able to use all the powers after season 9?
I really might do Omega on new toons or those who hit 50 after the change for the Borg set. And just make due with the powers on that. I don't see the reason to grind them all out now since we'll be limited in the rewarded power usage.

But the grind is something I am not going to do on the non-50's. If Cryptic sees people grinding the reps less after the change that will let them know it's not a welcome change.
EDIT PS I probably would have 32 too if this game did like Champions in giving a character slot for every level cap to subs.

None of my 15 characters have more than two reps maxed, most are just one. Seemed like a silly use of time to try and max ALL of them on every character even before this revamp. I'm sitting pretty under the new system, pretty much have the same choices as before.
Now, I have a couple guys who only did Romulan rep and so are somewhat lacking in ground gear. I plan to do the new Undine rep on them.
The level grind is easy. Its getting the items thats the annoying part.
And commodities won't even be needed anymore after season 9, it's going to get even easier. No reason not to do them all unless you're really strapped for time.

Pretty much this. No real reason to spend the time maxing out every single rep to only be limited to 4 passives. I may max out dyson as well for the ground set, but that would be it.

That's the other carrot. The items and gear and costumes and stuff. So like next year a new rep comes along and there might a cool new thing to grind for.
I stopped at T4 across the board on my latest main, and just stuck with MK XI gear since the difference to MK XII is minimal and quite a bit cheaper too. I never use the T5 abilities either. It worked out pretty well for me.
When I decide to roll a new toon I may take this idea a step further and stick with MK X gear instead. I'd also take advantage of the new trait systems and only pay attention to traits I'll find most useful.
I will want to get to T5 in every Rep on at least one character, in order to claim Sponsorship Tokens. I might spread that across multiple characters, or not.
So I still need to complete Nukara and Omega. Haven't seen Undine yet, so I don't know how I'm going to prioritize that one.
I want my Romulans/Remans to get T5 in the Romulan Rep, just because.
I will NOT attempt T5 in every Rep on every single character. I will likely stop grinding at T2/T3 and any further progress will be icing on the cake.

Given that we are now limited on our traits, what they have done is eliminate much of the reason to continue doing them. You get the gear you want and only slot the traits you want and you are done.
Reputations has been a TRIBBLE poor extension of the end game for everyone. Granted the gear is nice on some reps but not worth grinding out. This should actually be called Season 9: Nerfing the final frontier. Borg set nerf, Rep nerf, Hourly Nerf.
I ask the devs a simple question have you actually tried this grind yourself and do you find it fun or did you all spawn in anything you needed via a GM tool? So you say you love this game then I suggest trying the grind yourselves and seeing how much fun it is.
If the devs accept the challenge it could actually lead to a better game and a lot less of knee jerk reactions in regards to what is nerfed and why.
Eventually I'll get to maxing all of the reputations on all eight of my characters because I want the costume unlocks.
This brings up kind of a good point. Personally the passives were the LEAST of all the reasons I decided to start leveling in the rep system (after spending many months not bothering).
There are many other reasons such as gear, costumes and fun. So you have to use your brain for a bit and choose from a pool of passives, doesn't diminish the other reasons to level rep.

Yeah, IMO the rep passives were pretty weak. Obviously +x to y stat is useful, and has a measurable effect, but meh... it's still a drop in the bucket on most of them.

Wouldn't have been a drop in the bucket if they weren't capping the number of passives you could collect with Reps... there would have been a cumulative effect. But you're right.

When reputation first came out I decided I wasn't going to grind all of those characters, so I picked 3 mains and consider the other 9 alts.
The 3 mains will continue maxing all reputations available.
The other 9 will probably only ever see T5 of Omega (since many of them were pre-F2P, I converted a bunch of EDC and TRIBBLE) and possibly Romulan because epohh are easy to farm.
The alts will never get anything else.
Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and the players love it! No, seriously! ...Why are you laughing so hard?

omega rep, obviously, that shield passive is too damn good to ignore.
I'll be much more tempted to level up things like Omega on my lesser toons now that I don't need a trillon different commodities, and the bonus marks caper is an added bonus.
I probably won't rank up Rom and Nukara though, unless I decide I need to. As for Dyson, it'll be less appealing without commendations, but since i'm going bonkers getting my toons to T5 while it's still easy, it may not matter.
As for the Undine Rep, my main will do it, and then if it's worth it, other toons will get in on the fun.
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.

There is simply no point in running the new 5th rep if I am restricted to 4/4 - which they based off the 4 existing reps.
I still have hope they will make an adjustment before it goes live.

I thought I was bad with 16 lol.

Which is the same system I was operating on before this change.
With the exception of Omega, I generally stop at T2-3 on my other characters, and will continue to do so.
I don't see any reason for the change in passive traits to alter my SOP.
^^^ This. For I too am insane.
perhaps, just perhaps 3.

Already started to strip the alts of gear, ready for deletion.
Dude, seriously, you need a life..

Complete factional alts on full rep, then do them on the rest in a slow steady pace whenever I feel like it.
