Task Force Reputation

In addition to the event and personal reputations systems, Cryptic should consider a character or account based Task Force Reputation and Task Force system. Within these systems, players can more fully utilize the total sum of their ships that they have been maintaining; (a) one such feature would allow a rotational call-up of a ship within their Task Force as the ship represented/responding when the "Fleet Support" option is executed [when hull integrity falls below 50 percent] (players would chose the ships assigned to the rotation and captained by a selected BOF in the rotation), (b) players could also be allowed to assign Bridge Officer Specialists (BOFs) as captains on other ships that are in their Task Forces and send those fleet captains on missions which return to the players Task Force after missions, (c) Fleet Captains could also be called as support vessels on missions and depending on the relative skills, ability and length of time that the BOFs have been with their respective Task Force, they could either engage in combat (ground or space) effectively or ineffectively, (d) Fleet Captains could also be assigned to other characters (account owned or not owned by them) to Task Force missions for specified periods of time, and (e) because Fleet Captains only gain their rank from their respective Vice Admirals, a player rating and review system of their BOF Fleet Captains could be created to add additional play and intrige to the game. This would also make it possible for players to send specified BOFs to training academies which would improve their skill sets for command. The academy trainings could be timed for completion in reasonable amounts of days or weeks to add time clock oriented realism [tweek for Star Trek television time].

Additional reputation marks might come from the completion of Guild level Fleet missions that do not require teaming in the traditional sense to complete, and thus add to reputation when a player's fleet captain completes the assignment. More traditional teaming might come in the form of Fleet Captain to Fleet Captain OJT missions that improve the skill set and capability of same, thus adding to the reputation, team spirit (both at the Task Force level and the Guild level), and earnable reputation marks for a Player. These Fleet Captain mission should only be accessible from Fleet Starbases, and would earn players upon completion reputation marks, fleet gear, and/or choosable Nukura, Omega, or other such marks (as exampled by the current Mirror Universe event). [The staff of Cryptic might also utilize the avatar or main character of the Guild commander as the Fleet Admiral's face when the missions are assigned.] :)

Moreover, this would not prevent Vice Admirals from assigning Task Force missions to their respective Fleet Captains (for skills development purposes) irregardless of their current assignments and in a queued fashion.
