Great job Cryptic, make us grind for unlocks and then take our rewards away.

In essence, total number of reputation powers (including upcoming Undine rep) will be 25. New thing is, any player would be able to benefit only from 12 at once. Yup, less than half. 4 passives that work in space, 4 on ground and 4 active ones.

"We recognize that this system revamp will cause some players to lose simultaneous access to powers they’ve earned, and it’s important to us that the powers you choose to slot feel impactful and worthy on their own, now that you can only use 4 passives at once in any given region. "
May 2013, automatic permanent ban for mentioning gold-seller sites
pwebranflakes: this system is currently in place and working the way it should.
moradum: I got banned for saying "I started my day with cutting off 3 MM off of the bottom of my cabinet"

I really can't see the point in this change. It's just gonna TRIBBLE off a lot of people who have slaved away to get all the reps maxed out only to now loose the powers.

I thought the point of the rep system is to reward those players that put in the hours to get the marks and commit to progressing through the chain.
Surely these people deserve to be rewarded by getting access to these extra powers?
If the players that have completed the rep chains have more special powers than other players then that is the incentive for newbies to get working on their own rep system chains!

Plus the idea that a fresh lvl 50 player with no rep can't play with a long term player is not a valid argument in my books. To do the pve content you don't need any rep powers and the same is true for nearly all the fleet content too.
But at the same time why shouldn't a person who's put in 100's of hours be a bit more powerful than a newbie VA? After all the newbie is just starting out so of course they won't be as well kitted out as a 300 day veteran!
Hell why not just give everyone the same mkxii VR gear and powers at lvl 1 if you want to balance it to make everyone equal.

The powers are a nice little reward for putting in the time to go through the chains. And the whole idea of a continual mmo like this is you progress through the ranks and you slowy gain more power to be able to take on the end content.
