Dyson doesn't come with the Warp Speed bonus. All three Omega sets do, though.

Get the Mk XII assimilated Borg deflector and impulse engine. It'll be 200 marks cheaper than MACO equivalent, gives you a pretty nice hull recovery (1), and give you sector speed.

For a shield, Elite Fleet Resillient [ResB] is the best PvE option right now. If not in a fleet, then...MACO or Solane.

    (1) Yes, I know that the Borg 2-piece hull heal is going to be lowered in Season 9. However, my experience with it on Tribble has been that it isn't too much lower.

The stf sets are still some of the best in the game ive got the sol set n dont think much of it. Look up the set bounes and see wot set bounes would be best use for ur build.

All three Omega sets do, though.

Incorrect. Of the Task Force Omega impulse engines, only the Assimilated, M.A.C.O., and Adapted Klingon Honor Guard (identical to M.A.C.O., but for KDF) engines increase your warp speed. The Omega engine is supposed to improve your Slipstream cooldown (I don't remember if that actually works), and Adapted M.A.C.O. and KHG engines have no sector space effect.

I've been running the full 3-piece Assimilated set on one character (it was a pre-S7 character, so it was only 15 data chips all told), and I've been fairly pleased with its survivability under fire. The Dyson set has a similar ability to rapidly regenerate shielding while under fire, so it should at least be usable, even if it's not widely considered as top-notch as the M.A.C.O. shield.

Here's how I choose space sets:

Deflector: This is the hardest thing. Look for a deflector that boosts skills you actually need. If you're not a Sci ship, or an escort/cruiser with a Lt Cdr Sci planning to use GW or TBR, you're mostly looking for defensive skills. Ones that boost hull or shields, and possibly things like Power Insulators and Countermeasures that resist incoming effects. If you're using offensive Sci powers, you'll need to consider boosts to Grav Gens and Particle Gens. If you're a full blown Sci, you need to look at what Sci powers you're using and look for skill boosts that benefit them.

Shield: At this point, Elite Fleet Resilient/Covariant with [ResB]/[ResA] are the thing to beat. They are your baseline. Use another shield only if you have a good reason to do so (or can't get the Elite Fleet). The MACO/Adapted KHG is the best second choice, and was the go-to shield before Elite Fleet because of its good overall stats and the fact it boosts your power levels when taking damage. If another shield has an ability or set bonus that really complements your build, it might be worth considering over the above, but those shields are so good that's rarely the case.

Impulse Engine: Whatever gets you a set bonus with one of the other pieces. Nobody cares about their impulse engine. Generally you'd prefer a Hyper since most people have no trouble running high engine power these days, but whatever.

Warp Core: There's not a lot of choices here yet since Warp Cores are relatively new. Like shields, Fleet ones are the ones to beat. Specifically, the Dilithium Mine cores with the [AMP] mod. [AMP] gives a damage boost for every subsystem above 75. Between high uptime on Emergency Power abilities due to Doffs, and various other things, it's not uncommon for players to have three systems above 75, perhaps even all four. If you are using a Solanae or Dyson deflector, it might be worth looking at their warp cores for the set bonuses, but [AMP] is hard to pass up. If you are having trouble keeping high power levels, the [AMP] proc loses some of its appeal, but in that case I'd say you need to evaluate why you're starving for power first. As for which specific Fleet Warp core, it mostly depends on which system's power you need to boost. Try to get a bonus to an engineering power that's useful, [Eff] is a good one. Sector Space bonuses are gravy and shouldn't affect your decision.
