I just wish they would blow up vulcan already, and unify romulus and vulcan in the romulan/reman faction, and split them from the fed because they didnt protect vulcan from whatever, so they join up in some kind of intersteller homeless space elf orgy, and introduce vulcan ships to the romulan fleet. and new missions or something. That would be a great and easy plot device, andbeetle a way tosnuff give the roms, a vulcan ship expansion.
im not sure how much cbs cares about this game. If they cared, they'd give the staff the cash to produce more.
CBS does not pay anything to Cryptic to make this game. Cryptic pays CBS for the rights to use the IP.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

oh dear you've been sucked in by the awful jjverse.
ok you know in prime universe(ours) Romulus got stupidly blown up by jj(yeah proper stupid). ok spock etc went back in time in to an alternate universe(yep not ours) destroyed Vulcan(again proper stupid) and you want the devs to blow up Vulcan?!?!?
you must either be jj or not like star trek that much or on the same drugs as jj. either way good luck dude.

we already are in the jjverse. might as well manipulate it for more interesting content.

jj left his mark in the prime universe and went into another universes past to milk the names of kirk and spock. hey why don't we let jj destroy earth in the next movie and everyone will then realise how stupid the jjverse is.
Not going to happen and please don't let it happen. While the Vulcans and the Romulans are technically the same species, they are completely different races in their own right. Much like there is a marked difference in a South Korean and the North Korean. The Romulans fought hard for their identity over thousands of years and especially in the last decade. They want to be proud and separate from the other governments. Let them.
Also the Romulans are not homeless... If you played the game, you would have found out that the Romulan citizens have united under a banner of peace and forged out the New Romulan Republic. They also have several mining and farming colonies in the vicinity. Blowing up Vulcan in some act of vengeance would be tactically and logistically stupid... considering they need the Allied support of the Federation and the Klingon Empire in order to survive. Destroying one of their founding worlds is an excellent way to end an alliance.
And now I just read your remark on how this IS the JJ verse... I'll like to point to you here at this nice infograph that shows how bloody wrong you are!!!. JJ Trek is another... separate... alternative....totally different from universe distinct from the Prime universe... in which we play.

D'Tan is the same guy that tells Spock that he grew up learning Vulcan traditions and loves the culture. It's a STTNG episode where Spock goes to Romulus. He wouldn't do anything to a planet he grew up learning to respect.
JJ trek is an alternate universe gimick to cash in on the name recognition of TOS because writers ran out of ideas. And that is all I have to say about it.

That's good. Because ill-informed fanboi rants against J.J. Abrams and the reboot get tiring after a while.
Gee, it's almost as if Cryptic watched Star Trek.....
Wouldn't be surprised if that episode is their chief inspiration, considering that the Romulan Republic seems to be inspired by the Reunificationists more than anything else.

Into Darkness has destroyed any future JJ Universe movie with the interstellar transporter and magic blood. Why should Kirk be commanding the Enterprise to visit various planets to make out with hot alien babes when he can just teleport to various planets to make out with hot alien babes? Why be concerned that this redshirt is about to dying when McCoy can just inject him with magic blood?

The Dev's have confirmed this themselves multiple times.

And this is why the guy that wrote Lost shouldn't direct Space Opera's.

Since we are discussing absurd notions why not? Works for me. The Earth in flames and the finishing touch is a beautiful scene of Earth Space Dock plummeting into San Fransisco bay like a gigantic lemon juicer. It would be awesome.
OP, CBS would squash your idea like a bug.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.

The next movie Abrams is making takes place a long time ago. In a galaxy far, far away.

Even in STO not every Romulan feels that way. Not all are joined with D'tan, probably not even half of them. There is still Selas Roulan Empire.
And attacking Vulcan would be, from an RP POV something all my Romulans chars would contribute.
After all that stupid comic book is game canon.
Not saying that they should.... from an over all game-story perspective- successful. But a DEEP hatred towards everything Vulcan is an essential part of what Romulans should be like after the events of this comic.
Which is why I think they should NEVER have joined with the Feds.
Which means: Even if we are successful to blow up Vulcan that doesn't mean uniting the 2 people, unless the Vulcans become Romulans slaves/ target practice.

Good Joke.
Saying "Jar Jar Trek brought new life to the Star Trek franchise" is like saying "Transformers brought new life to the Terminator franchise".
Beside names Jar Jar Trek has nothing in common with Star Trek.
And STO was pretty far in Development before (considering the Interviews with Jar Jar) Abrahams even saw his first Star Trek episode. (If he ever did that in the first place....)

Though its highly unlikely that CBS would approve of this...

And then make half of the population work for the Klingons, and the other half work for the Ferengi. Those classic whips are mandatory of course. :P
