Doubt it will happen in Season 9. The Undine Reputation will likely have unique kits, but it will take a while for the other Reputations to be fixed with additional items and changes to how they work like Store Unlocks are automatically granted instead of having to run a project.

I really hope there IS NO undinre rep. For the sake of STO.
Or that will be another reason (another more) to definitely stop playing STO.
Yes we all have great ideas and a lot of things we will like to see in STO, unfortunately none of those will happen.

Checked the Undine Space Battleground and the rewards for capturing a point was Undine Marks. They will change the name since Omega Marks are not called Borg Marks, Nukara Marks are not called Tholian Marks, and Dyson Marks are not called Voth Marks. So the Undine Reputation or whatever they call it is a certainty for Season 9.
Reputations are unfriendly for those that have altism, but if the Undine Reputation uses the same method as the Dyson Reputation where it only takes 5 minutes per day to advance, then it would be somewhat alt friendly.
I think this kit revamp is pointless as no one plays ground content or stf grounds.
First, the Voth Battlezone is part of Cryptic's Way Forward plan. No queue, available anytime. More of these will make ground more relevant. For those who want less combat to deal with, there's always the New Romulus Adventure Zone. You don't need a kit for that, but it helps.
Second, a kit revamp could help revitalize Ground PvP/PvE. Or create the same issues people have with gimmicks and power creep in Space PvP. But at least they'll be trying.
Third, it creates a new framework for Cryptic to work with that will theoretically be more flexible than what they have in place now. It will help bring gear more in line with the kind of enhancements we see in Champions and Neverwinter. Wouldn't be surprised to see them modularize other kinds of equipment down the road.

Maybe it will be Fluidic Space Reputation or something.
What will happen with ground skills, when the new kits come into play? That is the question. They said you can change the modules in the slots of your kit at any time, but you will need to retrain your skills if you want to be efficient with the new powers slotted in. Or?
I like it that Cryptic revamps the ground stuff. I mostly like to play on ground. I am a Colony Invasion maniac. But i like Defend Rh'Ihho Station as well, and Starbase Incursion. Oh, and Mine Trap of course.
I hope that they will update Colony Invasion with some new opponents like: Tal'Shiar, Orion Pirates, Voth, Elachi. Maybe it could became a cross faction PvE. It is very hard to get in with KDF.
They should change the Fed, and KDF opponents to Mirror Universe forces. Fek'Ihri, and Borg in Colony Invasion invasion? That would be sweet, i think.

Really? I checked out the new PvE queues and they award Omega Marks, and since there's no access to the Reputation tab on tribble right now, it's hard to tell what the Undine Rep is like.
I doubt it'll be like the Dyson Rep. D'Angelo flat-out stated that the Dyson Rep took "too little time" to complete, so it's back to the Romulan Rep method of scrounging for meagre mark payouts!
You're just a machine. And machines can be broken.
my engineer on tribble has chronoton mines, shield generator, medical generator, and quantum mortar on her kit. I soloed all the voth battle ground with it and I suck on the ground.

This is by going directly to the information contact in the "Voth" Zone where he states how the Space Battleground works. It states how many rewards you get for capturing a point and how many rewards you get depending on how many final objectives are completed like defeating all 3 V-Rexes gives 5 VCI.
Was wondering the same thing about a new kit for the Omega reputation after I saw the T3 adaption passive was being removed and I saw the Counter-Command (Undine Rep) ground set was a 4 part set and included a kit with the [undine] and [Willx3] mods.
So I thought that with the removal of the Omega rep t3 passive that slows Borg adaption, could the devs consider adding a new kit framework to the Omega rep either as a separate item that has maybe an [Adapt] mod to do similar as the to be removed Rotating Weapons Frequency passive or maybe updating the MACO/KHG/Omega sets to be 4 part sets with a new profession-specific kit framework adding a new set bonus to do similar?
TL;DR
With the removal of Rotating Weapon Frequency passive from omega rep and new kit frameworks next season, could the devs use this opportunity to create a new Omega Task Force kit with a slower adaption passive built in?

They actually made the Tier 3 Omega passive more powerful. It slows Borg Adaption and has that Omega Graviton proc. It is a must have power for anyone that does Borg ground content. Whether it slows down Borg Adaption by the same amount as RWF would require someone to actually do testing or a dev to reply.

Ah I wasn't aware they did that, been a while since I was last on and while lurking the forums with I found this thread.
I'm gonna have to patch up tribble and look into this.

I play ground content all the time in fact I think the voth ground battle zone is more fun than any of the space content.

And that statement is so highly illogical, I don't know where to begin.
