Everything Old Is New - Can't turn it in

unangbangkayunangbangkay Member Posts: 10 Arc User
I've been trying to get some Retrofit Phasers for my Galaxy-piloting alt and I noticed that the Feature Episode that awards them, "Everything Old Is New" from the Devidians Feature Episode series can't be completed.

I finished all the objectives, but as soon as the "Return to Your Own Time" button appears onscreen the objectives reset to the beginning of the mission, and I can't turn it in to Franklin Drake.

I've done the mission thrice now, no joy. Any advice, folks? Or should I just give up on the idea of a Galaxy firing 6 beams of classic blue TOS goodness?

Or I could go the Third Way and buy a TOS enterprise and use those, but I'm saving up for a Gal-X and would rather the money be spent on something else....

You are not allowed to finish even after chelating out radiation and going back to Drozana present?

I just ran it again. (Got Cunning and Guile. thank you.) Completed with no issues. Any chance you skipped a step? I did that once in the old tutorial and could not go forward nor back.

Also you do have a ticket in right?

I've had your same idea and, before buying the Galaxy, I repeated that mission to get those good and cheap phasers.
It always went well, except once, when it happened what you seem to describe.
My guess it's happened beacuse I clicked too fast on the "beam up to the ship", after getting the chelation from Dr. McCoy, before seeing the green fast script "Everything old is new complete" or something like that.

Is chellating out the radiation a specific action you have to do? This is my step-by-step for the end of the mission:

    - Visit generator to open portal
    - Fight devidians
    - Receive dialog about radiation
    - Talk to McCoy
    - Return to portal
    - Receive dialog about returning home, Return Home button appears on HUD

At this point in my mission tracker, all the objectives reset to the point where I just entered the portal into 23rd century Drozana. The Return Home button still sends me back home but I reappear right outside the door to the lower levels, ready to reenter the portal. The mission isn't marked as complete, I receive no fast-text to mark completed objectives.

Let me step by step the mission:

    - Open portal, go to past.
    - bypass security and get scanner components.
    - talk to McCoy and cure Devidian draining.
    - get last component and scan comet
    - Vistit generato to open portal
    - Fight devidians
    - Receive dialog about radiation
    - Talk To McCoy
    - Return home Button should then appear on HUD.

Note: It is possible to bypass McCoy on the cure and scan the Comet. But you will not finish the mission.

Thanks for the advice. I'll see what happens next time I try rerunning. That said, I've kind of given up on it for the moment, and am currently using the default blue Andorian Phaser banks that come standard on a Kumari escort. I'll miss the classic sound effect for a while though :P
