"Too many attempts; please try again later."

i know i put my password in correctly and only tried 3 times, but i get "Too many attempts; please try again later." is this a glitch?


how long do i have to wait?

    so my room mate's launcher said the same thing on a different computer and he didnt even type anything. he didn't try to log in just when the launcher was active it said "Too many attempts; please try again later."

    is some one trying to hijack out ip? idk

    Well I know how it works.

    Its a 24 hour lockout from your current IP, no matter who tries to login behind your Internet connection.

    The only thing that causes this is when someone behind your WAN IP tried to login into the game with too many failed attempts, so its pretty obvious its either yourself, or your friend. If not he might simply not want to admit it because he screwed you over as well now.

    Three solutions:

    1. Wait 24 hours and hope he doesnt do it again, or he might troll you endlessly.
    2. Ask your ISP to change your WAN IP address and in case of using cable internet, unplugging the modem for an hour or two might do the trick ;)
    3. Use a private VPN proxy or something, which probably needs setting up and paid :)

    he didn't play for the last few days because he wasn't here he doesn't play as much as me, and i asked him to log in today so i could see if he had the same problem. I know for a fact he hasn't tried to log in the last three days.

    on another note i cant log into the gateway either say invalid "invalid username or password"

    lets work under the assumption that no one else in my house tried to log in, is there a way someone can try to log in to the game using my ip? looks like ill be asking for a new ip tomorrow...

    I'm having the same problem today. I'm at a friends house using the same router. We have done this multiple times in the past with no connectivity issues. Now he can log, but I cannot...

    I have reset the router and my computer as well as my password

    Okay so I posted an hour ago about my problem with STO saying over and over again that I have to many log on attempts, try again later... Now first of all I live alone, nobody uses this computer but me.. I have scanned my comp for viruses, reset my router, wrote support (no reply) I feel I am being TRIBBLE.. I wish someone would help.
