So as early as next month we could see the undine rep system and by May the Undine lockbox. I am interested to see how Starfleet and the KDF integrate their technology onto our ships. Of course voyager already set the standard 40 years ago for using BIO-gel circuits and even some of it become self aware if I remember correctly.
I have always wanted a Undine ship - and I am sure those crafty ferengi have some horrible ways to explain how we can fly their ships. I really have my eye on a fast and maneuverable nicor crusier.
That wouldn't really make sense for non Undine to be able to use their ships.
I hope they just reboot all the old lock boxes again myself and maybe a few new rewards in them.

Rumor Mill is we'll get a Nicor and some sort of (new) escort. Sounds like the Nicor will even get its infamous charge-up beam and can link/channel it with other Undine ships that have the console.
More interested in the supposed 'volley torpedo' from the reputation though, personally.

Well I certainly hope the new undine rep torp does some serious bleedthough and bypasses shield and hull resists or it will be as useless as most other torps these days. Since the undine use antiproton - I am wondering what type of hybrid weapons will be coming. Antiproton/plasma hybrid?

Bio-molecular Phaser/Disruptors from the rep, if the 'leak' is to be believed. My inference is that it will be some sort of exotic damage radiation proc similar to the Hargh'peng or plasma fire. Not sure about the lockbox energy weapons, but it sounds like the third set item will be (yet another) big plasma torpedo launcher.
Id like to know where these so called rumours stem from.
Although some people have seen some interesting stuff on the test servers, the Undine as S9's bad guys has already being clearly established by the FE and through the devs. Just like the Voth, the reputation system usually follows that faction. Then the lockbox follows that bad guy rep - well that has happened for the voth and tholians anyways.

Nothing official, take it with a grain of salt.
They're Antiproton/Plasma, actually. Though that's not to say a similar Phaser/Disruptor variant wont be available for lockboxes
Heh, called it. Yeah I'm pretty sure we'll be getting an Undine rep and lockbox next season. Despite their being the Bigger Bad for most of the game (with the Iconians being the Bigger Bigger Bad), we've yet to get a lockbox or a rep concerning them. And we know they'll be the focus of the next season. So I'd say we can pretty much count on it.
Also, in one of the images for the Galaxy reboot, it showed a Gal being fired upon by yellowish curved beams. There's nothing like that ingame right now, but they're dead ringers for canonical Undine weaponry. So I'd say that confirms that there will be updates to the Undine next season, if nothing else.

Starfleet already managed to interface their tricorders with Undine computers back in 2375 (VOY:In the Flesh)
Undine ships are built of organic materials but they're not intelligent/self-aware the way Gomtuu/Tin Man is. Therefore, any monkey that knows which buttons to press can fly the ship, just like all the other ships in the known galaxy.
Urg, without a link or screenshot or any kind of official word I remain sceptical.
Yes branflakes is no longer working on this stuff, but he did say it wasn't going to happen now in the not so distant past. And given the length of time we have heard it takes to design new ships and wotnot it stands to reason that he was aware of what was in the pipeline at the time. One must ask, why would they suddenly change their minds?
However if you can quote a source, or something for me/us to check out I would happily check it out and shut up if it looks creditable
"If this will be our end, then I will have them make SUCH an end as to be worthy of rememberance! Out of torpedos you say?! Find me the ferengi!".

Or perhaps Neelix "cutting" the cheese after eating the funky cheese?
Keltoi Class... fan design. You KNOW you want one In-game!

Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
He said the "next" lockbox wouldn't be undine prior to the hirogen's release.
Posted too quick, didn't get a chance to read post #20

Would like to place a bet on us not getting a Undine lock box?
I can just picture ESD this time next month; surrounded by a fleet of bioships, commanded by humanoids.
Are you trying to say that cryptic would not put something into sto that some people thought was stupid? (oh I don't know like dinosaurs maybe:eek:)
