STO[SPACE]: A solution to the hypothetical "Tier 6/FA" dilemma.
Problem: Player investment in the game currently locks Cryptic to Tier 5 for purposes of introducing new ships with new end-game caps.
Solution: Let ships that are accessible for Rear Admiral, or higher, "scale" with the player's avatar to the new end-game cap.

Move fleet grade ships onto tier 6.
Doing only that alienates silvers with only RA-basics and everyone with RA/VA c-store ships.

1. What is the need for "t6" other then calling something "t6"?
2. We essentially have a tier 6. Its called fleet ships. And any other 10 console ship.
Agreed, instead of a new higher tier of ships and mk xIIIIIIII weapons.. let go the rout of "an away team of ships" as has been eluded to on several occasions, assign a bridge crew to one of you mothball fleet, set up some basic away team like commands... Admirals = 1 "escort" Fleet admirals (lvl 70) get 2...
I imagine the day you post something relevant to a thread the forum will crash.
The game addresses what makes tiers unique beyond arbitrary naming conventions as you progress through it and there is publicly available information which makes it fairly clear that even 10-consoled ships are still tier 5.
Yet I digress as neither of your comments have anything to do with addressing the original post.
There was no mention of modifying weapons and there is nothing about this proposal that precludes having flights of ships. Perhaps you should bother responding to the original post instead of agreeing with people whose comments are invalidated by the basic information provided in game.
