Dyson big dino quick death?

A couple of hours ago I had a character running to the last big dino and it went from 50%+ to dead in the time it took me to go a couple of hundred game yards. Are people stacking debuffs, skilling for ground and getting huge DPS or was this just a random event?

Are there guys doing to ground what the dps FAW people have done to space STFs?

It is probably all of the above, coupled with 30+ people all shooting at it. :)
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

There are two types of big dinos, one of them is an announced event it doesn't go down easy.
If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
    Oh Hell NO to ARC

Chroniton mines. 5 of them per cast, flanking bonus, multiple boffs laying at a time, stacked tac and sci debuffs, exploiting the limited AI of such a big slow target. Sad thing is when people do that it doesn't boost their own reward any, but does reduce the potential reward for other people (who may not get there in time), so its kind of a troll move.

In a way I agree, but also, the sooner they all go down the sooner you can switch maps.

    Chroniton mines.

Yup, I've seen 4-5 people lay them in one spot and then draw the Rex to them. Dino chunks everywhere!:D

lol, yeah cause players are all about sharing in the BZ! Just like the AFKers and campers and they guys who run in, tag the Rex and then book to tag the other 2.

Don't waste your time killing medics on a tagging-run. Just tag the rex, respawn and run to the next. Only after this do you have time to kill the medics at whichever silo needs help until the main player group arrives.
Also, during the first phase of the battlezone, keep an eye on the map and see which sector is captured last/fastest, that's an indication which silo is overrun first, so you should start your tagging-run there.

A friend of mine came up with this idea. You run up to it, dump a triolic pattern enhancer on it and everyone stomps on it with proton weaponry.
    I need a beer.
