Evaluate Biochemical Properties of Tulaberries
[1 / 4]
Time to complete: 20h

"You need 4 Tulaberries"

I just bought 4 of 'em at the eschange, they're sitting right in my inventory.

What gives? Did I miss something obvious?

[I did sign off to the character selection page to see if that helped.]

There's a commodity called Tulaberries [wiki-link] and there's a food called Tulaberry URL="http://sto.gamepedia.com/Tulaberry"]wiki-link[/URL. I think you need the commodity, not the food.

I believe the proper response at this point would be, "Oh."

Thanks, I'm sure that's it. I never even considered that. There's no way someone would know that if you have 4 of an item called Tulaberry it is not the same as 4 Tulaberries.

All I did was go to the exchange and look up "Tulaberry" and buy 4 of em.

Sadly quest and/or DoFF mission commodities are different from 'useable' commodities in many other cases as well.

I remember some diplomatic mission in the DS9/Dominion chain, where some female NPC wants to get rid of Self Sealing Stem Bolts ... And to my horror, the only dialogue option was "I can't use that many myself" ...

I found myself thinking ... nnnnooooo ... I take as many as you have!!!

Luckily I think Tulaberries/Tulaberry is the only item name similarity in the game, but I knew this would happen when they introduced the commodity after the food already existed. :/

If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
