Forum Post Tracking

I find these forums to be unusually difficult to follow. In other forums I can easily see if there is a response to any of my posts by simply going to "User CP" and viewing a list of my posts. There does not seem to be such a feature in these forums, and I have to either remember where I posted something, or write it down so I can find my thread and see if there are any responses.

I have tried the e-mail notification options found at the bottom of the new thread, but they appear to do nothing.

Is there a means to easily track my posts so I don't have to go on a forum expedition everytime I want to check for responses to my posts?

There is, but it's a roundabout way to do it.

Go to the forum search function. There's a box on the right hand side that says something like "search for user" where you can type your name (or anyone's name). On the left hand side, you will see an option to search for threads or posts. Click the option for posts. After those are set, just click Search and you should see all the posts you have ever made.

I don't know if there's another way to do it. That's what I use though.

It's really easy and simple. If you start or reply to a thread at the top of the forum page you will see a pull down menu "Thread Tools" click on that the "Subscribe to this thread" then when you go to User CP you can then view all your subscribed threads. Thread that have had replies made to them are brighter, those that have not had any replies are less bright. If you have not had any replies within a certain time scale then they won't be there, but you can view. delete threads by clicking on "View all subscribed threads".

Be sure one you have clicked on subscribe to this thread on thread tools you click the add subscription button

This is exactly what I've been looking for. I guess I just assumed that this forum didn't have such a feature because other forums seem to have this set by default for any new posts you make.

Unfortunately the subscription feature on this outdated forum software is inadequate and frequently bugs out if you refresh a page or log into a different session, wiping the read/unread status of your subscriptions. So even if there are new replies to a thread you subscribed to, it marks them as read when it bugs even though you haven't actually visited the newest posts in said thread. Plus there's no way to turn subscriptions on by default for any thread you post in.
