So the 4th year anniversary event will be ending at around 10am PST, by my watch that means 8 minutes from now. I got the Dyson Science Destroyer for my Federation character. However, I started a Klingon character too late and I will be short by 200 Qmendations (I thought the event ends 10pm PST tonight).
It seems the only way to get Lobi Crystals is to use master key on lock boxes. Is that correct? There is no way to directly purchase Lobi Crystals? I have slotted the mission project so I assume that means I can take my time to accumulate Lobi Crystals. It seems a package of Qmendations (40 I assume) costs 5 Lobi Crystals so that means I need 25 Lobi Crystals to get the remaining 200 Qmendations.
From what I've read Lock Boxes randomly gives 4 - 50 Lobi Crystals so in the worst possible situation I need 7 keys which costs 875 Zen ($8.75) or 14 million energy credits (assuming 2 mil per key). Is that the correct assessment?
Can I transfer Lobi Crystals between characters? For example, I get a master key for my Fed character which gives me 12 Lobi Crystals after opening a lock box, and I get a master key for my Klingon character that gives me 17 Lobi Crystals. Is there a way to transfer the 12 Lobi Crystals from my Fed character to my Klingon character? I have over 9 million EC for my Fed character and about 300K EC for my Klingon character.
The only normal way to get Lobi is by opening Lockboxes with Keys. Cryptic occasionally does Re-Run weekends where where the Events will award some Lobi, but those times are random.
The QMendation Packs in the Lobi Store award a random number between 10 and 20 QMendations. So you might need between 100 Lobi and 50 Lobi.
Lockboxes drop, on average about 5. The minimum they can give you is 4, though.
You can transfer Lobi between characters if you have an Account Bank. They cannot be transferred any other way. To get an Account Bank you either need to be a Gold Subscriber or have purchased the Account Bank from the C-Store.
You can also buy Keys buy earning Dilthium and converting it to Zen. 8,000 Dilithum per day is 56,000 per week. At 130 per you are looking at 430 Zen. Enough to buy 3 Keys per week.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
Buying qmendations with lobi is very expensive in three ways:
Lobi are pricey and shouldn't be wasted
The cstore version of the ship is better and comes with a special console
Qmendations are apparently here to stay so will be obtainable again and you can get the free version of the ship then.
Transferring lobi between characters requires an account bank which costs about 1000 zen. Account bank is very handy for directly transferring EC and items that cannot be mailed like lobi and rep system sponsorships.

The problem is you need the two special items on the Event version to complete the two different Set Bonuses.
Set 1 needs: Warp Core, Shield, Deflector, and Impulse Engines.
Set 2, from the C-Store, needs: Secondary Deflector and then the three Universal Consoles on the C-Store ships.

Also I think the lobi pack is 10-20 qmendations but I might be off on those numbers.
