I have recently come back to the game after a couple on months break. So my question is with some of the new ships in the Lobi store is the Temporal Destoyer still worth the 800 Lobi crystals. I have wanted one for a while but do not want to spend the crystals if the ship now sucks.

Thanks for all your opinions
Ship is still as good as always. The only difference now is that there are more ships to choose from. However, personally, the Mobius is still part of the top three escorts you can get!

I fly a Mobius in both PvP and PvE. Mine is a drainer, diplomat doff, tons of flow caps, leech, polarized disruptors. All I have to do is switch my boffs and reset my tray. What you get is versatility in comparison to "other one trick pony" escorts.

Mobius is one of thew few Escorts with a Lt. Cmdr. Science station (like FAE, to name another). This is *very* useful for your CSV attacks, as well as for the new Gravimetric Torp. This is how I currently laid out mine:
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
I went ahead and purchased the ship last night and like it a lot already.
Also Meimeimtoo WHERE did you get those Tac consoles at??? Searched the exchange with no results. Do you think I should get the assimilated set or stick with the adapted MACO set I currently have?

Thanks Again all:):)
Those are the new Spire consoles. The Locators require T3 Spire. Exploiters are T2 I think.
Two piece borg set with Maco (all XII) is a good bet unless you have the leech console. In which case replace Maco shields with Fleet Resilient (Elite). In saying this, the three piece Borg set is also quite handy imho.

Yup, those Vulnerability Locators are Spire T3 items. If your own Fleet has Research Provisions, though, you can easily get a free invite on the NoP Public Service channel.
Assimilated is a very good set. Personally, I love the full 3-piece set, but it's generally believed at least the 2-piece set is adviseable, for all its heals (2-piece Borg + 1x Adapted MACO Shield).
The full Adapted MACO set is also very good: you don't get the Borg heals, of course, but its Deflector is loaded with excellent stats; and you get +25% Torp damage, as part of the 2-piece bonus.
Thank You for all your advice and tips everyone. Im loving my new ship.
Meimeitoo, Thanks for that heads up on that channel I had no idea it existed. I was able to get an invite to a spire and got 1 of those consoles (I was only able to buy one for now cause my fleet credits are low). WOW what a difference only one console made, cant wait to buy three more.
Without attack patterns or tac team, it nets a whopping 24-and-some-change percent crit hit chance, as well as the boost to torps from the Protonic Arsenal 2-piece and the Adapted MACO set. I've thought about just keeping the Adapted MACO shields + Adapted MACO engines and getting a Fleet deflector for the science ability cooldown.
As far as Doffs go, I slot two "Shield power" projectile officer doffs, two "shield power" energy weapons officer doffs, a 50% cooldown energy weapons officer doff, and a grav scientist that has a chance to spawn additional wells, all purple.

I read on the STO Wiki that the Manheim Effect basically creates 2 copies of your ship, trippling your firepower.
how does this work? i am thinking of getting the ship, but i am very skeptical. i'm wanting to turn it into a torpedo boat with Omega Plasma torp launcher, bionural warhead, and a couple other heavy hitters. for instance if the omega plasma torp launcher fires 1 heavy plasma torp ever 2 seconds for a max of 6, would this do the equivelant of 18 heavy's. also, i run with a breen transphasic cluster torpedo in both a for and aft mounts. so if it fires and creates 10 mines on impact, with Manheim Effect would it fire 3 cluster torpedoes and release 30 mines on impact? same question with the bionural warhead, 3 of thoes with their point defence would lower shields and do enough kinnetic damage to make a respectable alpha strike on just about anything.
Any help in understanding how Manheim Effect works would be appreciated. Thanks.
The Manheim creates a past a future copy of yourself, which can be great...but you've got to be smart with it. The damage done to the past version can translate back to you, so if it's destroyed, you will be too. You can always slam on your Temporal Backstep, but I use the Manheim when I think that I can get away with it...then it's a great ;-)

The Manheim Console is better known as "the suicide console" because of its 100% damage feedback from the past quantum clone. It does NOT triple your ship's effective firepower because the quantum duplicates have their own feeble stats. The only thing they share with your primary ship are its looks. None of the real weapons or BOFF abilities are carried over, so the quantum clones are essentially from a parallel universe featuring lame versions of your mobius
The Tipler Cylinder from the Wells ship is actually quite useful.
This is my current Mobius build, equipped with the full Temporal Warfare set for maximum cheese:
I would get it only if you want to use the set and the consoles, there are so many other escorts with lt Cmdr sci to choose from now that are cheaper otherwise.
The ONLY reason to have the Manheim console on the ship is to use it as part of the full set. If you don't have a Temporal Sci ship just put the Manheim device in your bank and forget it exists. Quickest way I have ever seen to get killed in an STF is to hit that button.
Not only are the clone ships quite feeble in terms of tankiness and damage output, but they immediately aggro everything in range... which means they last about 10 seconds against 1-shot abilities from a Cube or Gate.

Oh, totally a gotta-catch-em-all thing.
Thing is, I read somewhere that backstep, if you have the mannheim installed as well, caused enemies to heal.
It was a long time ago, and it may have been fixed, but does anyone know if that still happens?
Cause, if it does, I have better places to spend 800 lobi....lol

I have both ships and wouldn't use the Manheim device even for the full set. If the 2pc bonus gives any advantages in pve, it's not noticeable to me. The clones summoned by the console seem to have better survival ability on the science ship, but the only use for use for the suicide console IMO is avoiding injuries in elite stfs.
thank you all for the update, i will deffinatly not get this ship. the only thing im trying to do is maximize forward torpedoe output and kinnetic damage. obviously this ship's ability would be a back step. im thinking more tored the federaiton battle criuser or the tactical version of the andorian escorts. that one has 5 for mounts.
When you use the Temporal Backstep when you have the Manheim installed, it freezes enemy ships all around you. When you just use the Backstep without the Manheim, you just undo any damage caused and everyone else around you keeps moving.

I think it's gotten cheaper on the Exchange, so might be better to buy there than use 800 lobi.

Quite the opposite, they only go up in price. The Wells used to be 80 million, now it's about 145 million

However, I vaguely remember someone writing that the combination healed your enemy.
Was it ever fixed, and is it at all sensible to slot both time ship consoles?

Temporal Warfare set, and Tipyler Cylinder for temporal backstep.
I seldom use the Manhiem Device, but when I do I use Temporal Backstep to unexplode.
If you time it right the effect is rather awesome.
I would also suggest the Advanced Escort as well as the Adapted Destroyer which benefits from a cloak and sensor analysis.
