FE is inplayable...

The lag is infuriatingly bad. It isn't my graphics card or PC or RAM. I had to drop it and exit out of STO. This is like the days of 1200 baud modems.

I even suspended programs in memory ... did no good whatsoever.

I give up on the FE.

Have you run a TraceRt to see if there is some type of log jam between you and the Server? I just did it on 2 characters about 20 minutes ago and had no unusual lag.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

I`ve had no problem with either my home broadband or my mobile dongle and my laptops not that grand.
I found the execution of the FE and the rest of sto to be very smooth, no lag or any rubber banding whatsoever.
we had the problems with the server crashing on the first day but since then its been fine.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

First of all it's UNplayable (sorry but just had to).

Second of all I have the worst PC rig (I mean 2GB RAM bad), my game settings are high and I never got lag in the FE mission.

Between this lag and the image troubles this latest patch is having I can see why people are frustrated.

I've had lag only in STO mind you but I play their sister game NWO and have no troubles beyond the occassional minor rubber banding after about 1.5 hours or so between hiccups.

Because of images in inventory/doffs disappearing, new armor/ships becoming all white (and only the new ones) etc etc I can only conclude that there's a series of bugs with this latest patch they haven't fixed yet.

Are you using ARC by chance? If so, that's likely the culprit.

If not, try resetting your router. (If you have one). That sometimes works. Else you should contact your ISP to diagnose the problem.
