When will Omega/Romulan/Nukura get Warp/Singularity Cores added?

I like the new streamlined Dyson system. I really do. One mission for one mark a day fuels the grind, the rest is just bank for projects.

What I really like, though, is the four-part set including Warp Core. This lets me run with two Rep Procs running at once, and opens up a lot of configurations. But it's right now ONLY possible with Dyson/SomethingElse.

When will the other three Reps get Warp Cores? Because that would, I think, extend possible builds beyond the semi-standard we're using now, open up a lot more diversity, and really make the addition of warp/singularity cores feel complete.

PS--when are my warp nacelles going to light up in Sector Space instead of my Impulse Engines? Because that's just ridiculous.

They really should. Basically every ingame set or engine/warp core also needs to increase sector speed. Right now its basically a choice between MACO engines, Borg engines and Fleet Impulse Engines.

Also agree. If you've burned 500 Marks and 30k+ Dil on any Rep engines/core, it should grant you the same sector space boost. I know, I know, "borg tech", but we're transwarping everywhere at level 5 anyway.

We shouldn't have to tootle around the universe with the Borg engines sitting in inventory just to not move at a slug's pace.

They already said we wouldn't get rep warp cores for the other sets because they don't want to see the return of 2pc/2pc set bonus builds.

Could you link to where/when they said this? I've tried searching, but either this forum's search isn't very good or my search fu is weak.

Oh god, it was so long ago. I remember reading it in the threads concerning the first 4 pc set to be released, which would've been the dyson set, so back around the fall...

I don't know why I finished typing that out after I found it. Here you go.

Interesting. Reading it now, it seems that what I was told secondhand wasn't fully accurate, hawk's reply sounds much more optimistic about the future of double 2 piece bonus builds. That would be fun. I would love to be able to mix Aegis/Omega 2 piece myself.

So, why couldn't matter-antimatter/singularity warp cores be added to the first reputations, now that the new ones have it standard? Seems a bit odd, and reduces the reasons to use the previous reputation sets other than for the engine sector space speed boost.

People asked for a Borg warp core, they added in the one on the Tal Shiar ships, which can only be used on the Tal Shiar ships. That's not exactly what people were asking for. It was a usable-on-any-ship type to be added to the Omega Force reputation that people were asking for. I know that's what I wanted.

They could add them as store project, like ship weapons, not making them part of a set but giving them some decent stats. This would get round the 2-2 set bonus that they seem not to like.

I don't really understand the objection to mixing and matching sets. Just adds more variation, and if anything gives a reason to take the time unlocking multiple reputations, rather than just the one.

They didnt want borg set shield proc with a shield that wasnt horribad. Imagine 3 piece borg with fleet shields

Considering how crazy dps has gotten in this game, that's actually not too terrifying a prospect. I mean, granted, good tank builds exist and don't need help, but still. AP has like 3 set bonuses now, and tac consoles that up its crit/proc chance. Plasma has a disruptor proc and can have as many as 8 buffing consoles, plus a set bonus.

Plus back then there weren't nearly as many draining weapons. Tetryon has 2 set bonuses now, a big alpha cannon sniper shot, tetryon glider, lots of flow cap buffs, with more coming with secondary deflectors. Nanite disruptors, Elachi disruptors.

Seems like it'd be a lot more tolerable nowadays.

They've made it clear that buffing enemies (the Voth) isn't out of the question, so neither should 2 2-pc bonuses. If need be, make current Elite difficulty called "Advanced", and buff the Elite to higher difficulty to match. With according increases in drops to boot.

And while you're at it, Cryptic, put in loot and Dil into every Romulan/Nukura mission. And it would be a GREAT time, to add Advanced and Elite versions of Romulan Spacebuck Earning Missions.

PS--the Bonus Marks don't affect Eppoh-earned Marks, so every Rep system gets a boost except Romulan, which is still stuck with the truly pathetic rewards and options for earning Marks therein. LOL NOPE I was wrong
