Walmart wont refund not working ultimate game card

donkeybong420donkeybong420 Member Posts: 97 Arc User
I bought a ultimate game card at walmart, to buy a monthly subsription, when you select game card and put in key , it says invalid key. Walmart wont refund the money or give new card.

So i was forced to try to buy zen with the card, made the ultimate pay account, used the key, the verifing page on startrek online just timed out and froze up. come back later, no zen in perfect world account, no ultimate points in ultimate account.

Try using the card again, it says it has been used allready.

I'm felling pretty much abused and ripped off here by perfect world, first of all i wanted a monthly subsription and purchased the card for that, and apparently you cant use it as a payment method, and then when my only option to get any value from the card was to buy zen i didnt even get any, and now the card says its used up.

right on the subscription page it say you can use Game Card.

checked the https://billing.perfectworld.com/history nothing new there, transaction doesnt show up.
checked https://billing.perfectworld.com/mywallet nothing in there.

so this is a warning to everyone, don't trust ultimate game cards, they don't work sometimes, and you can't use them for subsriptions, its 100% misleading to have the startrek online logo plastered on the front of the card, and then not allow anyone to use it for subsription.

So you assumed how it worked and it turned out it didn't work that way.

If you did prior research you would've avoided a headache...

As for your zen...did you check your wallet?

Game card...not ultimate game card or PWE game card....you made an assumption...

It could mean the start up key you get with a new copy of the game or star trek only game card or even a star trek time card. You assumed.

So, you have used ultimate game cards for Zen before? So you are 100% certain you tied your ultimate cards to your star trek account?

I've never used ugcs before so I can't help ya.

I use the Ultimate Game Card regularly for zen. I purchased a $25 card once, and when I put it on STO, it only transferred $20. The other $5 was sent to an Ultimate Pay account. I had to access it to have the other $5 transferred to STO.

Go to Ultimate Pay and see if the money was put there. If it is, you can reclaim it by following the instructions on the site.

Pretty much once the bar is scratched on any of the paycard and the key is viewable there is no where that will take them back as they have no way of knowing the balance left on the cards. Unfortunately, they won't even do a refund themselves and declare all sales final.

Others have had issues with UGC and the most relevant post I could find for ya was here

Yeah, from their point of view, you might be trying to scam them and get a refund for a card you used up. Since they can't verify whether the card actually worked or not, they aren't going to risk it.
