Why can't we fill the 2nd queued rep projects?

It would be nice, then I wouldn't have to log in every day if I wanted to maximize reaching T5.

Probably because Cryptic wants players to log in every single day.

Huh? DO you mean rep, or event? Because rep, I can have 2 going on at once, + an upgrade project, if I have the materiel needed.

Right there's 3 rows, but also 2 columns. You can't currently fill a project queued in the 2nd column, which is what I'm interested in. Having your first column projects auto-complete then move the 2nd column project and set it running.

Ok, now I see what you're saying. But it's basically like, til the one completes, the people involved are too busy, to process another request, is how you could look at it. Til the 1st column project finishes, anyone involved, is filing the necessary "paperwork", transferring resources around, etc etc.

Because I have never seen and I doubt anyone else has ever seen a game where their queue system allows for contributing to queued projects. The queue system goes back to RTS games like Starcraft where you have a selected structure building a certain unit without having to check it every minute. If I have enough Marines, then I can build some other unit or stop manufacture due to my resources being depleted too fast. The queued system goes back to real-life production. I gather up all the resources to complete one project and then I complete it. I don't gather up resources for queued up projects due to a limited workspace.

I think this is good, but if you fill it up completely, then one has to wait 'till the previous one is finished before it "kicks" in.
Hopefully I'll come back from my break; this break is fun; I play intellectual games.

    I hope STO get's better ...

Serves no purpose at all - just copy/paste of the fleet system.

This would directly conflict with Cryptic's desire that you log in every day, adding to the number of people they can point to as "actively, consistently playing" when they want to show off activity/popularity levels for potential investors, partners, competitors, and so on.

The answers to all of this is simple.. First off the reason the projects are on cooldown at all is because the system is set up as a time gate. It is designed to keep fleets from completing entire tiers in days if not hours. The reason you cant fill the holding project is because of this gate. Also if any members of your fleet do not have access to "manage fleet holdings" they cant even see them. That would give an unfair advantage to any who do and could only help to sow seeds of dissent in some fleets.

As for rep projects its the same answer as before with the time gates. They set this up so you cant blast through an entire rep faction in a matter of a couple hours. The idea is to give you incentive to log in and run content in game every day. Something that people forget is more valuable to PWE and Cryptic than cash sales is actual players who log into the game frequently and actually participate in content.
