Season 8 -- nothing but bugs (for me, at least)!

I have been trying to participate in Season 8 STFs for some time, and I end up spending most of my time watching my ship stall, go in directions the opposite of where I want to go, sit there while it gets wailed on by Voth frigates, and get stuck in corners. It is as if 90 percent of the time my ship is being controlled by someone else (someone who genuinely hates me), with the other 10 percent being not controlled by anyone at all.
I cannot reproduce the conditions with another character since I do not have another at that level. However, I can say that I have not encountered this problem in the normal episodes and missions, nor have I seen it in the Borg, Romulan or Nukara STFs.
