Tony has decided to go all timey-wimey on us and has gotten lost somewhere near Gallifrey so this week Elliot joins James and Elijah for an episode full of that gooey STO goodness. This week we Trek Out a new show from the creative minds behind Priority One Podcast called Guard Frequency. In this week's STO News we cover Q's decision to grave us with his presents (get it?! Presents?!) as he launches this year's Winter Wonderland featuring new environments, new rewards and a new ship! As well as Q's shenanigans we also let you know about the latest Spire Featured Project, Season 8 Dev Blog's #24, #25, #26 and #27, the latest Guest Blog on the Ker'rat Space Warzone (as well as listen to James try to say the phrase "PvEvP") and the latest patch notes to hit Holodeck and how they'll affect you. As if that wasn't enough we have a Field Notes segment with a first glimpse of the new Breen Plesh Brek Heavy Raider, and of course as always at the end of the show we open up hailing frequencies and listen to your incoming messages.

Winter Event: More Grind, less fun. Plus, annoying voice overs.
As for the flanking bonus mechanic, I'm sure I'll enjoy it on my federation tactical character but it I doubt it will affect my gameplay much on my mains. I sport Engineers that have yet to have a problem keeping the Hull up and don't feel Birds of Prey getting a 11% damage bonus in pvp will be significant enough to warrant a change in game strategy, only time can tell though.
