Lost my new Ship!?

I had just completed my promotion to Lt. Commander this morning, stripped the gear off my old light cruiser (have some good stuff for a new configuration), bought an escort ship at Earth Spacedock. Went over to the cosmetics vendor to do some customizing, and I still only showed my old ship! Went back to the ship dealer, and the ship I just bought for "1" is now 18,000 Dill. I don't see any interface for switching between ships, so I have to wonder if the disappearance is related to the recent update, am I missing a button or command on the GUI, or is it really gone? Yeah, I'm a newbie, but this isn't my first space sim, so I could use some help here...

Talk to the Ship Selector up the stairs from the vendor.

Thanks for the quick response! I didn't expect another dealer would be the answer, but it makes for a powerful game feature.
