Usually I am in the German STO forum reading posts but with this thread I want to reach more PW officials and active STO-players. Therefore I decided to write this:
I am a huge fan of Star Trek the original series, TNG, DS9 and certainly of Voyager. ?Enterprise? was a failure so no need mentioning it.^^
The main content of this thread will be about things I don?t like, would like to see changed or would love to see appear.
I know I lot of this things will never appear, but I feel them as worth mentioned:
1. I have a Jem Hadar Boff but there is no buyable Jem Hadar melee weapon! I also would like to have a visual to the Jem Hadar Ground Set.
2. The Workhole near DS9 is greatly animated. But except for the Episodes you cant really use it or fly into Delta Quadrant. That is sad and could easily be fixed with a more interesting map.
3. Speaking of the map: If u guys watched Star Trek closely you saw how the map way arranged. The Borg, Voth, Cardassian, ROmulan, Klingon,?- Territories. I think you kind of messed that up. A map rearrangement would be nice, placing the alpha, beta gamma and delta quadrant in our lovely milky way galaxy. This way you could show which areas/maps are still going to come.
4. What I really don?t get about your way of arraging outer space is the uselessness of those maps like T?ONG NEBULA, D?KEL STAR CLUSTER and so on? I get that you wanted to give ppl the option to just get around and visit new systems, but seriously like this? Those missions are just boring? Make them harder, give them interesting rewards, do whatever it takes to just make them special!
5. I myself made me an alien character that looks like a cardassian. But I miss the typical neck.
6. I personally think, that the whole true way storyline came pretty short. Since I like Cardassians, please make them a playable race (not a third alliance), enhance their storyline, and by that introduce the gamma quadrant with the dominion again^^ (Playing a Jem Hadar would probably draw a lot ppl from retirement and invenst into Zen?)
7. What are the Hirogen doing in our Quadrant? More storyline needed!
8. The Romulan fraction is nicely done. BUT! Seriously, who believes that the romulan empire, even without the Tal Shiar would just sit there without Treason? Pull them out from Feds and KDF make them grow up, stand alone! This would enable interesting new options for PvP
9. PvP needs a makeover? New maps and maybe bigger? 10 vs 10?
10. Stop this Deferi TRIBBLE? they suffered long enough. Will this suppression of poor Deferi stop eventually?
11. We have bad enemies (Borg, Voth, True way, Tholians?) But there is nothing really challenging in them. I think we need something that annoys ppl on ESD at the exchange. Maybe a daily or weekly huge attack on earth from Whoever (a few tac cubes and mother ships, a lot voth ships?) and make captains actually have to participate defending them. If enough captains do this fighting back and participate, kill enough cubes in a certain time, everything is great and good, some rewards here and there, happy faces. If the captains fail, make fleets having to donate to earth to build up ESD again. In this time under siege maybe beam in some borg or whoever actually attack us, making it more fun.
12. The Voth Season is, up to this point, pretty disappointing. Romulan addon was great, Voths are just cheap? Make them more overwhelming pls. Make them the enemy they are supposed to be.
13. I enjoy how u made the ships but I think u made some mistakes with the gameplay. First of all the Jem bug is just too strong. The Galaxy X is nothing compared to the bigger brothers, the Defiant needs a better shield modifier. (Quad Cannons from Z Store ship are TRIBBLE)
I know some of this things are farfetched, but just my opinion on things that should be adder or changes. Feel fry to post your opinion^^
